Attila László

Born: July 10, 1953

Having graduated as an architect from the Technical University Budapest (BME), and as guitarist from the Jazz Faculty of the Béla Bartók Conservatory, he started to play in leading Hungarian jazz bands. He founded his own band, the group „Kaszakő” in 1975, which had a really original sound. Their first record was published under the title Édenkert (Garden of Eden) in 1983. He formed the group „Things” with sax player Tony Lakatos in 1985, which functioned for a period of seven years. During his career he played with such world famous jazz musicians as Randy Brecker, Anthony Jackson, James Moody, Tommy Campbell, David Friedman, Gary Willis, Hiram Bullock, Billy Cobham, Miroslav Vitous, Peter Erskine, Bob Mintzer, IlaiyaRaaja, Jimmy Haslip, Russell Ferrante and Patti Austin.

Arne Jansen

Born: November 26, 1975

If you’ve ever heard the Berlin guitarist Arne Jansen, you’ll know how difficult it is to forget his special sound. That passionate rummaging around in the warm diversity of the electric guitar, where bashful understatement mixes with playful sensuality. The humaneness become sound that always searches for what is special in the commonplace, exudes serenity and yet never itself comes to rest because its quest never ceases. Originally from Flensburg, Jansen moved to Berlin in 1996 to study jazz guitar at the University of the Arts until 2001. In workshops with Pat Metheny, John Abercrombie, Kurt Rosenwinkel and Philip Catherine he honed his craft and was soon playing alongside stars like Gitte Haenning, Tim Fischer and Katja Riemann

Sundae and Mr. Goessl

Sundae + Mr. Goessl is a new collaboration between resident Seattle, WA musicians Jason Goessl and Kate Voss. The duo embodies a spirit reminiscent of 1930s pop; repackaging classics with nuanced stylistic detours, ultimately imparting a ‘fresh’ vintage patina to the songs. Voss’s sultry and honey imbued vocals mixed with Goessl’s impossibly layered guitar work comfortably ebbs and flows while transcending the definition of ‘pop’. Goessl is widely known for his venerable guitarmanship and possesses a deep and diverse well of genres to draw from. Galen Fous

Galen Fous Collective - Mythic Acoustic Jazz Fusion - Enlivened Ambiance for Contemporary Events & Venues Galen Fous is a Portland based, innovative, acoustic guitar stylist, composer and an accomplished singer/songwriter. He plays solo, or as duo or trio, depending on the venue. His music is highly original and combines elements of jazz, latin, brazilian, celtic, rock, classical, contemporary folk and more into a modern fusion of traditional genres. The songs he and his group weave are rich in mythos and emotion lyrically and musically. Leo Alvarez

Born: October 17

Born in 1969 in San Antonio de Padua, Buenos Aires. Leo started studying guitar at the age of fourteen. He was highly influenced by his grand father who used to sing and play very well the guitar performing beautiful folk tunes. He first studied with a local teacher close to his home, who introduced Leo into the fascinating world of jazz. Later, he studied for more than five years with Armando Alonso, founder of the Jazz career at the Official music school EMPA (Escuela de Musica Popular de Avellaneda). Leo is a composer, guitar player and arranger. Currently, he is also teacher at the upper stage of the Jazz Guitar career at the EMPA. He leads his own project since 1995 (Leo Alvarez Jazz Quintet) with original compositions, and has recorded two CD’s (“Contraluces” and “Algunas Consideraciones”) which received very good reviews. He has developed a very solid soloist career as well as a sideman on stage and studio, performing with renowned local singers as Sandra Mihanovich, Livia Barbosa, Monica Posse, among others

Loretta Heywood

Loretta Heywood is a soulful songstress, best known for her ethereal vocals with 90’s electronic band Bomb The Bass. In 1991, after 9 years in Japan where Loretta recorded ‘Tribe of Love’ & ‘Touch Me Take Me’ for Tosh & Kudo (Love TKO / Major Force), Tim Simenon heard her recordings and asked her to sing on the next Bomb The Bass album. The result was the hauntingly beautiful Winter In July, co-written by Tim, Loretta and Guy Sigsworth. It subsequently became a major hit in Europe, featuring on countless Chill Out compilations, and earned its place in dance music history as one of the classic records of that time

Stefanos Tsourelis

Born: January 1, 1979

Using the oud and guitar as his vehicle, Stefanos imprints his experiences from Greece and London on his music, taking the audience on an authentic journey that uniquely fuses Mediterranean music with jazz. The collaboration with bass player Dave Jones and drummer Eric Ford allowed the project to creatively evolve to its final form. LuWii Lumibao

Born: October 5, 1989

LuWii started playing the guitar when he was 14 years old, although, his mother gave him as a gift his first guitar when he was 11 years old. LuWii did not have time to pursue learning guitar at a deeper level since his priority was finishing high school and college. During high school and college, he did not play jazz. He listened to Jazz, and to different genres related to it such as Bossa Nova. After a year graduating from college, he started his music career. Playing in small time cafes and restaurant, LuWii started playing music in the mainstream genre. After a year and a half of being exposed to the performing industry, he enrolled in a music school.

Ruben Machtelinckx

Ruben Machtelinckx is a prominent member of the Belgian and European improvised, experimental music scene. As a guitarist, but equally as a composer. Since the very start of his artistic course, he focusses on personal projects. 
 In 2013 the quartet Machtelinckx/Badenhorst/Jensson/Wouters released their debut, ‘Faerge’. The album was praised by international press and was listed ‘Best Belgian jazz release’ by KNACK magazine. Later the band issued a second album, ‘Flock’. 
 For many years, Machtelinckx is part of Linus, a duo with saxophone player Thomas Jillings. Their lauded debut, ‘Onland’, was followed by very specific collaborations
