Joel Moreno Codinachs

Joel Moreno Codinachs was born in Barcelona in a very musical family in which almost everybody plays an instrument. He soon chose the guitar influenced by this environment. At the age of 14 he discovered the electric guitar and started to play blues and rock. Soon after he fell in love with the harmonies of Jazz and Brazilian Music. From that time he has been busy playing this music. He leads his trio and quintet and participates in several projects. He has released, with his quintet, Songs for Midnight Dancers (Underpool 2017), his second work as a lider. His debut album, Emergexit (Errabal 2010), was recorded in New York and in the year 2015 he presented PLAY (Errabal 2015) with Diana Palau & Joel Moreno Project a CD result of the collaboration with the singer Diana Palau

Listen to him play a few songs and it will not be hard to tell that the music that he grew up on was of an older generation than he. The names Stevie Wonder, James Taylor, and Donny Hathaway are the names that would come out of his mouth if you were to ask him his main influences. He sites these artists as being musicians/vocalists that have shaped his musicianship with a stew of Soul, Folk, Country, and Pop. Since 2011 Luqman has been making a name for himself around his city, Dallas, Texas. Some of his notable accomplishments include open call auditioning in Austin, Texas for The Voice: Season 6 in 2013

Guitarist, composer, arranger and lyricist Dan Nicholas grew up in New York City and New Jersey. At the age of 18 he began to study with the world renowned jazz pianist and educator, Dr. Barry Harris. Nicholas was inspired to move to The Netherlands in 2001 after meeting master pianist Frans Elsen, with whom he worked regularly until Elsen's death in 2011. Dan Nicholas is the guitarist and musical director of the group "Marjorie Barnes & Equinox" which features world class jazz vocalist Marjorie Barnes. He is also the leader of "Equinox Jazz Promotions," a netherlands based organization that programs and promotes jazz concerts

Brazilian guitarist, vocalist and composer Pedro Martins is the newest addition to LA's thriving creative music scene. Martins has collaborated with everyone from Kurt Rosenwinkel, Jacob Collier, Thundercat, Brad Mehldau, Chris Potter and JD Beck, to legendary guitar hero Eric Clapton.
Pedro hit the headlines in 2015, when he won the prestigious Montreux Guitar Competition as a young Brazilian prodigy and made a strong impression on the jury formed by Kurt Rosenwinkel and John McLaughlin. After studying guitar and piano as a child, this eclectic Brazilian musician has become a multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter perfectly at ease with typical Brazilian genres like samba and choro, as well as with jazz, fusion, progressive rock, and world music.

Johannes Luley

Early Years
Born in Hamburg, raised in Darmstadt, Germany, Johannes grew up in a very supportive and music-loving household. At age 13 he became the youngest student at “Jazz Schule Darmstadt”, where he studied guitar under Eddy Marron (Dzyan, Missus Beastly, Giger-Lenz-Marron). His other teachers include Berklee School of Music alum Rolf Bussalb and Torsten de Winkel.
The Studio
Still in his late teens and early 20’s, Johannes began a career as a studio guitarist and landed a few high profile engagements with artists. Among them Camouflage (Love is a Shield), Ina Deter (Ich will die Hälfte der Welt) and Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues. During this time, he had the great opportunity to work with top producers Edo Zanki, Tommy Schmidt-Zijnen and Ken Taylor. Those guys were calling all the shots in the studio, which led Johannes to embark on an engineering and producing career that has lasted to this day.

Natalie and Dave play their favourite music from the jazz and blues classics of the 1920s through to the 1960s, and beyond, They came together to further explore and develop their own take on these classic jazz standards. They have been gigging in and around the Bristol and the South West for the last five years or so. They are also very close neighbours, both coming from the same neighbourhood in their hometown city of Bristol UK. They have made two CD's and two DVD's. Both have had extensive performance experience in and around the Bristol and South West (UK) area, inclusive of a number of radio appearances on both sides of the Atlantic. Artists they both like: Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday, Julie London - all the great female jazz singers. Guitarists influencing Dave: Mississippi John Hurt, Rev Gary Davis, Bert Jansch, John Renbourne, Stefan Grossman, Jo Pass, Django and all the great jazz guitarists. They have a lively YouTube channel which is attracting increasing levels of attention
