Melody Dornfeld

Melody Dornfeld began music lessons on piano at six years old, adding the clarinet five years later.  Growing up in a family of seven children, all who took music lessons, she grew much from an early age in listening to, performing, and teaching music.  She studied clarinet with  Dr. Ramon Kireilis, principal clarinetist of the Colorado Springs Symphony orchestra and professor of clarinet at the University of Denver, through the midst of attending five different schools during her high school years.  Music became an anchor and an avenue of personal expression as she graduated as valedictorian of the final high school and also took first place in the Colorado Springs Youth Symphony Young Artists’ Competition, being noted by the Colorado Springs Gazette for “the depth of emotion” with which she played

Chance Hayden

Born: January 15, 1987

Always on the move as one of the Pacific Northwest’s most trusted string slingers, guitarist Chance Hayden has performed avidly since the mid-00s with wide recognition as a chameleon-like musician who fluidly adapts through the realms of jazz, blues, funk and soul. He continually splits duties as both a bandleader and sideman for diverse acclaimed artists such as Farnell Newton, Darrell Grant, Saeeda Wright, LaRhonda Steele, Shelly Rudolph, Lloyd Jones, John Primer, Mel Brown and Jarrod Lawson, with whom he has toured 15 countries. Hayden's albums Get Somethin’ (2018) and Grab & Go (2020) were followed by the stand-alone single Shag Bag (2022), which features iconic keyboardist Ronnie Foster (of 70s-era George Benson fame) and has garnered international acclaim as a classic groove piece sounding like an early to mid-70s CTI or Blue Note recording. 

Esinam

Multi-instrumentalist Esinam recalls the spirit of her Ghanaian roots in a ballet of instruments slightly sustained by almost invisible loop machines. Born in Brussels, she finds inspiration in her journeys all over the world and encounters with different cultures. In her solo set, she uses electronic machines and turns into a « one-woman band».She composes, plays and performs her own contemporary music with flute, percussions, vocals as well as traditional and modern instruments. Both her sensitivity and her personal way of merging different genres together do create, color and uplift Esinam’s musical universe

BRZZVLL

Born: 2006

BRZZVLL was founded by Vincent Brijs in 2006. This Antwerp collective plays improvised dance music with a jazz-fusion, funk and rare groove sound like those of the 70’s: bass and drums very tight and funky, horns, guitar and keyboards very imaginative and sexy. The bands’ unique cross polination of cosmic jazz, spoken word & afrobeat makes them stand out in today’s jazz scene. Their debute “Days of Thunder, Days of Grace” was voted Best Belgian Jazz Album of 2008 by newspaper Le Soir. For their last two critically acclaimed albums, BRZZVLL worked together with spoken word artists Anthony Joseph (“Engines”, 2014) & Amir Sulaiman (“First Let’s Dance”, 2016)

Theo Girard

After surveying scenes from 4 continents with projects as varied as Bratsch, Macha Gharibian, le Bruit du [sign], Sibiel or Volo, Théo Girard releases the first album in his name featuring french trumpet player Antoine Berjeaut and British drummer Seb Rochford (Sons of Kemet, Polar Bear). 30YearsFrom is a project that evokes the first fruits, the first spark, the birth. As Théo Girard explains : « I grew up in a musical environment, my mother was a freelance costume designer for the opera and my father was the founding violinist of Bratsch (a famous French band) and also played in free jazz bands like Alan Silva’s Celestrial Communication Orchestra in the 80s

Kollega

Band line up - DAVE SHOOTER - bass & pedalboard, laptop and controllers; LERØY LUPTØN - synthesiser, guitar, laptop controllers; MATT ROBINSON - tenor saxophone; BEN MCCABE - drums Kollega are a quartet from the North West of England who play original music. At Kollega HQ we are inspired and motivated by fusing technology and contemporary sounds into our music alongside acoustic and electric instruments. The tunes are underpinned by big grooves and processed bass sitting beneath insistent tenor saxophone and lush analogue synths with loops and samples providing lots of sweet additional sonic interest. We believe that the studio and live outputs of the band should reflect each other while providing different and complementary experiences

Jason Quick is an innovative guitarist, composer, and bandleader in contemporary music with a rust belt edge. Quick immerses himself in music and process to create projects that navigate genres and styles. Jason regularly performs at venues, clubs, concert series, and festivals throughout the Midwest and has played/recorded in New Orleans.Jason’s two main projects are Quick Trio and Quickness.
