Antti Lähdesmäki

Born: June 14, 1990

Antti Lähdesmäki is a Finnish pianist, composer and improviser working diversely within the fields of jazz and improvised music. Active in all Nordic countries, Lähdesmäki can be spotted in various contexts ranging from avant-garde scene of Copenhagen to composing for big bands in Finland - through improvising on an church organ in Norway or playing jazzrock on Rhodes in Sweden.

The Margin Call-series

Gothenburg-based pianist and songwriter Daniel Stahre release the album 'Margin Call III' September 18, 2026. The album marks the third and last in Daniel's “Margin Call”-call series. This time with a trio - alongside Stahre on piano and composition, we find drummer Erik Bodin (Little Dragon), bass player Viktor Turegård (Franska Trion).

The Margin Call album series consists of three personal and melodic albums (2022, 2024,
2026) that draw inspiration from a single theme: the encounter between the system and
the individual. Inspiration is drawn from the irrational and absurd coexistence of a
sometimes destructive present and our personal life. With his own stripped-down, personal music, Stahre contrasts our performance-oriented economic system. With clear melodies, the theme reminds us that our current economic system is a historical exception, and that we once had a completely different view of what it means to be human:

- Our mechanistic view of humanity shapes our entire contemporary world and relations. And sometimes even our view of music. But in what is unpretentious, playful, and intuitive, there can be a refuge from self-exploitation. Margin Call draws inspiration from seeing the present for what it is - in order to understand, change, and emancipate. Coming to terms with our times and undergoing ones own enlightenment coexists beautifully with the warmth and simplicity of an ordinary life. Where real life happens, that is a

Rolf Jardemark

Born: November 23, 1960

A top guitarist from Sweden, Rolf Jardemark is a versatile player with a long series of recordings for the Imogena label. Jardemark started on guitar when he was 12. ”I bought my first guitar from a friend for one dollar! I had no teacher. I started with a blues record and a chord book.” Inspired by Barney Kessel, Larry Carlton and Pat Metheny, Jardemark also learned about jazz from Peter Almqvist when they both worked in a guitar store. Jardemark went to music college when he was 16 and after that went on to The Academy of Music in Gothenburg - studying classical guitar but playing jazz at night

Matilda Andersson

Born: February 24, 1990

Matilda (1990) was born in Algutstorp south of Sweden and is currently active and based in Gothenburg. She started her self-studies if music in early age and begun writing music at the age of twelve. Later on continuing with music studies during gymnasium and work with many music projects in different genres. She continuing to study music at Billströmska Folkhighschool at The island of Tjörn an perform solo and with larger ensembles like TigerHorse and perform at the island with music made for 11 musicians. Mwendo Dawa

Born: 1974

SUSANNA LINDEBORG'S MWENDO DAWA is always an adventure listening to. They were a bit of pioneers when the group was formed in the 70th when it came to combining expression of Jazz and traditional instruments together with the possibilities given by new instruments of the time. And they still are. Apart from most others fascinated by the same possibilities at the time. Musically MWENDO DAWA is now working with improvisation in serial technique with electro acoustical backgrounds but with a strong rythmical approach. The group is still now, 30 years later, as much pioneers as ever before. MWENDO DAWA is updated on all frontiers, the musical vision is still there but has changed and grown not only together with technological progress

Susanna Lindeborg

Born: April 18, 1952

Susanna Lindeborg, piano,keyboard, composer. After receiving a classical education she came during the 70th into contact with improvised jazz music, which became an important source of inspiration.

What you first think of together with Susanna Lindeborg is her virtuouso play on the piano mixed with electronic instruments, which has been known most of all through the group {{m: Mwendo Dawa = 19835}}, which she is the leader of together with saxophone player {{m: Ove Johansson = 17430}}. {{m: Mwendo Dawa = 19835}} has been succesfully touring in 25 countries in Europe, North and South America, China performing at festivals like Montreux, Northsea and Montreal. The last few years she has been regularly visiting USA and Canada with {{m: Mwendo Dawa = 19835}}. Susanna also writes a lot of the repertoire for the group.
