Michael Mason is not only an accomplished flutist but also a commissioned officer with the rank of Retired Lieutenant from the Downers Grove, Illinois Fire Department for the past 40 years. Michael's musical studies began with Principle flutist Joseph Zerov of the Chicago Lyric Orchestra and then with Janet Bergman at the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago
