Jonathan Andersen

Born: February 24, 1974

Bass-player, Composer and arranger Jonathan Andersen was born in Denmark in 1974. Began exploring the bass in elementary school and was encouraged to develop his skills further at the local music school. He attended the Academy of Music in Esbjerg/Denmark from where he graduated in 2006 and studied with great bassists Thommy Andersson, Morten Ramsbøl and Kaspar Vadsholdt. He also studied Composing, Arranging, a. o. with Butch Lacy, Lars Jansson, Thomas Clausen, Frederik Søegaard, Christina Dahl and Marc Bernstein. His influences count various artists including: Dave Holland, Scott Colley, Larry Grenadier, Michael Formanek, Hugo Rasmussen. He has toured Japan, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Russia and Estonia and has played with various national and international artists like: Jesper Løvdal, Jacob Anderskov, Jens Winther, Bjarne Roupe, Claus Waidtløw, Peter Rosendal, Espen Laub Von Lillienskjold, Maria Faust, Martin Andersen, Marc Bernstein, King Size Big Band, Thomas Hass and Thomas Maintz. He was nominated for a Danish Music Award Jazz 2020 in the category "Composer of the year", for his debut album: “Tiny Grass Is Dreaming”, featuring Jacob Anderskov, Magnus Thuelund and Espen Laub Von Lillienskjold. Martin Fabricius

Born: December 7, 1972

Martin Fabricius is a Danish vibraphonist and film composer. He graduated from Berklee College of Music with a major in film scoring in 1996. While at Berklee, Martin studied the vibraphone with Ed Saindon and multi grammy award winner Gary Burton.

Building on the legacy of Gary Burton and his pianistic 4-mallet approach, Martin is considered a leading exponent of a new generation of vibraphone players, exploring the use of electronics, new repertoire and inventing new playing techniques in the quest of expanding the expressive possibilities of his instrument. Martin’s music has by many been described as calm, image invoking Nordic jazz. His trio albums has received international critical acclaim – including 5 of 5 star reviews in All About Jazz and JazzThetik and they have become one of the most played jazz bands on Danish National Radio. He has toured Europe, Asia, Africa and the U.S..

Copenhagen-based Gypsy Vendetta is an experience of extraordinary energy and creativity. Kristoffer Vejslev

Kristoffer Dyssegaard Vejslev

Kristoffer Dyssegaard Vejslev is a Danish guitarist and composer currently based in Copenhagen. In 2019, he graduated from the Conservatory of Amsterdam (CvA), where he studied with prominent names such as Jesse Van Ruller, Reinier Baas, and Peter Bernstein, while also receiving private lessons from Jakob Bro. His playing style blends the international jazz influences he absorbed at the conservatory with a Nordic sensibility shaped by his Copenhagen upbringing.

As a third-generation composer, Kristoffer is deeply influenced by his father, Jakob Vejslev, and his grandfather, Tony Vejslev, both renowned for their melodies set to Danish poetry. This legacy is reflected in his lyrical approach to composition and guitar playing, as noted by Politiken, which described him as "a versatile guitarist who weaves together many threads both in his playing and his compositions."
