Ernest Melton

Born: January 6, 1980

Ernest Melton was born in Goldsboro, NC. He relocated to Kansas City, MO (his mother's hometown) at age 10. He picked up the sax that same year when he was enrolled in Longfellow Academy. Bored with the classical curriculum of that institution. Ernest studied more contemporary genres of music and the guitar until the age of 14 when he joined his first jazz program through the American Jazz Museum. By then he was playing mostly tenor sax. He joined his jazz band at Lincoln High School and many other programs around Kansas City. Naturally excelling, he left school at age 16 to practice on his own

Dave Anderson

Saxophonist and composer Dave Anderson brings a significant musical voice to the New York jazz scene.

Anderson has performed as a saxophonist around North America with notable musicians including Clark Terry, Matt Wilson, Craig Taborn, Chico Pinheiro, Nicholas Payton and Mel Torme. He is currently a member of percussionist Memo Acevedo’s global jazz group, Manhattan Bridges, holding residency at New York’s Zinc Bar. Although he plays in a modern style, Anderson has received accolades from jazz legends including Ray Brown and Rufus Reid.

Increasingly Anderson has focused on composing original music for his bands such as Blue Innuendo, Melting Pot and The Dave Anderson Quartet. He has recorded over 30 of his original compositions while developing a highly personal compositional/instrumental sound – one that is harmonically complex, melodically compelling and rhythmically exciting, yet accessible and appealing to lay listeners.

Jon C. McGahan

Born: July 15, 1961

After Studies at Illinois Wesleyan University and Roosevelt University. Mr. McGahan found himself the chief arranger for both the Deja Vu Big Band and the Ron Smolen Orchestra. Since 1986, Jon has been actively composing, arranging and playing Trumpet, Trombone and Euphonium for these groups, as well as the Revolutionary Swing Orchestra and the Sicilian Band of Chicago and other Jazz and Concert bands in the Chicago area, including his own group,the Stardust Big Band.

Richard Shulman

Keyboardist and composer Richard Shulman creates music intended to be a positive influence for himself, audiences and society. Richard has recorded 28 of his own albums as well as more than two dozen other recordings for which he has provided compositions, performances and/or musical production. Trained in the classical and jazz fields, he has developed a heartfelt language in these genres while focussing a significant amount of his output on music for meditation, healing and inspiration. He currently divides his concert schedule between performances of his meditation music and his original jazz as personified by The Richard Shulman Group

Sune Pors Andersen

Sune Pors (b. 1987 in Odense, Denmark) is a guitarist and composer, who has worked with numerous Danish and international bands and artists as a sideman, as well as performing his own music. Current projects include the eclectic guitar duo Thief On The Roof with estonian guitarist Kirsi Tilk, the world-music-meets-rock group Umpas, rock/fusion trio Randolph Cricket and the genre-bending jazz trio Myrtue/Pors/Rõivassepp. ​ In 2015, Sune Pors finished his master's degree in jazz/pop/rock guitar at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus, Denmark. There he had lessons with Uffe Steen, Karsten Aaholm, Adam Levy, Miso Petrovic, Tolis Zavaliaris, Henrik Andersen, Gilad Hekselman and many others

Attila Gyárfás (1990) is a Hungarian drummer, composer, and improvisor, who has appeared on over 20 records and has performed at a great number of major venues and festivals all over Europe, such as the Bimhuis in Amsterdam, the Palace of Arts in Budapest, and the Porgy & Bess in Vienna. As member of various groups, he has won several awards, including the European Young Artists' Jazz Award Burghausen 2017 and the Keep an Eye - The Records in 2015.
