From shows and tours with R&B/Soul/Gospel grammy-winner Pj Morton, holding down a residency in Las Vegas playing trumpet for the chart-topping long-running band Maroon 5, doing festivals with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and tours through Europe with Swiss pianist and composer Florian Favre, to studio sessions with the Black Keys, jamming in DC with Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters, playing in big bands with Ellis, Jason, Branford, and Delfeayo Marsalis, and doing a tribute to David Bowie with Arcade Fire! Courage and care are his motivation for Music and he’s got more than enough of both to give you a sonic fantasy.

Sam Sadigursky

Born:
Since moving to New York in 2002, Sam Sadigursky continues to make a mark as both a leader and sideman across a broad spectrum of musical landscapes. His series of four albums of original music based on poetry and text for New Amsterdam Records, entitled The Words Project, have been acclaimed internationally. Noted music critic Steve Smith called them “compelling and touchingly intimate… that rare anomaly: a jazz-and-poetry record that sounds utterly natural and convincing“ and went on to name Sadigursky’s debut album as one of Time Out New York’s top ten albums of 2007, and the New York Times has called them ”gracefully high-minded explorations of poetic form.” Following the 2015 release of his latest album, Follow the Stick, he was named a rising star on clarinet in the Downbeat Magazine Critic’s Poll, on which he has continued to appear annually. Since 2022, he has released five volumes of music with accordionist and multi-instrumentalist Nathan Koci called The Solomon Diaries for Adyâropa Records.

Tom Brunt studied in Geneva with Vinz Vonlanthen, Maurice Magnoni, and Ohad Talmor, and attended masterclasses and/or private lessons with John Abercrombie, Ben Monder, John Taylor, Pat Martino, Tim Berne, Bill Carrothers, Brian Blade, John Patitucci, Danilo Perez, Gary Peacock, Marc Copland, Jacob Sacks, Dan Weiss, Ben Wendel, Dan Tepfer, and others.
After completing his studies, he spent four years teaching group classes at AMR in Geneva, during which he dedicated himself to exploring various guitar playing styles (jazz, avant-garde, folk, swing, traditional music) and electric bass, as well as composing and arranging for various projects. He then moved to Montreal, where he studied composition and arrangement at the Université de Montréal. He earned a Master’s degree in Pedagogy from HEMU in Lausanne in 2022.
