Cody McCorry is a composer, arranger, recording artist and internationally touring performer based in Asbury Park, NJ. He tours and performs his works with his own shapeshifting experimental ensemble, We Used to Cut the Grass, who have released two full length albums to date. He also works as a bassist and co-composer in several active ensembles ranging from mathcore to traditional jazz, in addition to composing for film and television and regularly freelancing on electric & upright bass, tuba, theremin and hand saw. He is a published author of three books of music for electric bass, and his 2019 full-length release with Thank You Scientist, Terraformer, charted at #73 overall and #8 in the Alternative charts on Billboard
