Yuto Mitomi

Yuto Mitomi is a saxophonist, woodwinds player, jazz composer, and arranger based in New York City. As an internationally recognized artist hailing from both Japan and the USA, Mitomi has garnered acclaim for his innovative approach to jazz and a distinctive sound that blends tradition with modernity.

After moving to New York City and graduating with a BFA in Jazz program from The City College of New York, Mitomi began performing regularly in the local jazz scene. He has appeared at venues such as Antique Garage, Shapeshifter Lab, and Rockwood Music Hall. Since 2016, Mitomi has been a regular performer at Tomi Jazz, a renowned jazz venue in New York City with over 20 years of history.

Ye Huang, born in 1998 in Shenzhen China. Clarinetist, Saxophonist, and composer. Ye is an enthusiastic young man who plays music across classical, jazz, pop and many genres. He started playing clarinet at the age of 9, studied with his mentor Yi Cheng, principal clarinetist of Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra. At age 12, He was admitted by Juilliard Pre-College, with clarinet professor Alan Kay and jazz with Ron Blake. Iman Spaargaren

Iman is a multi-reed player, arranger and composer. He has a distinctive way of playing and a very personal tone on his horn. Over the past years Iman has been busy with a wide variety of music groups such as Undercurrent Trio, StarkLinnemann Quartet, Voice of Monk, Iman Spaargaren Quartet & Septet, Captain Hook, European Union Quartet and Thelonious4. He is actively involved in the theatre piece My Father Held A Gun and the dance & music performance We Are The Everlasting Guests. Linus Wyrsch is a Grammy Award-winning clarinetist and saxophonist. Originally from Switzerland, he has become one of New York City’s most sought-after woodwind players. The Berklee College of Music alumnus has worked with Lucy Kalantari, Bucky Pizzarelli, Larry Fuller, Alan Silvestri, Howard Shore, Cesar Camargo Mariano, Oscar Castro-Neves, David Hazeltine, Roger Kellaway and many others.

Luca Luciano

Born: August 12, 1975

Internationally recognized for his groundbreaking contributions to contemporary clarinet music, he starts his career at the young age of twelve performing at one of the most established halls of his home town Naples and appears on television nationwide live aged 21. Introduced as "the new voice of the clarinet" on the front page of De Klarinet Magazine, Luca graduated from the Conservatoire of Salerno (Italy) and has been awarded the Fellow status at the Higher Education Academy (UK). Described by the BBC Radio as “one of Europe’s leading exponent of jazz clarinet”, Luca “has established himself as the friendly face of contemporary clarinet” according to the Clarinet & Saxophone Society of Great Britain and enjoys a busy career as a performer, a recording artist and a clinician.

I am the leader and reeds player in Dr. Dubious and the Agnostics, a Dixieland Jazz band playing in the Metro New York area since 1998. We are a hot jazz, 7 or 8 piece band and have performed at First Nights, street fairs, weddings, private and corporate functions, and just about anywhere that people enjoy toe-tapping, good music. We feature female vocals by our pianist; male vocals by me, the eponymous Dr. Dubious; and bass saxophone to anchor the rhythm section.
