Chris Hodges has been performing for over fifteen years and has lived and worked in Atlanta, Birmingham, and New York City. His eclectic background of rock, pop, hip hop, blues, classic rock, bluegrass, and jazz allows him to fit in with (and add to) any music he happens to sit in on. As a studio bassist, Chris has logged hundreds of hours behind both electric and double bass. Whether laying down grooves for hip hop or playing on hard rock tracks, Chris is in his zone. Though still active in all styles as a freelance bassist, Chris has dedicated his attention and studies to jazz and has studied under some of the region’s most accomplished players and writers

Torontonian Adam S. Fine had long planned to be a jazz double bassist. Picking-up and moving to Halifax for no particular reason in 2000 quickly changed the plan. Fine was surprised to quickly find himself as a popular sideman in the local Halifax indie-country-rock scene. Fine founded [now sadly defunct] Country/R&B collective The Hurtin' Unit with Becky Siamon, RJ Donovan and Daniel "Bucky" Baugh. Fine currently works with country singer-songwriter Andy Cull and The Fancy Lebanese Country Band, as well as rising star Norma MacDonald. He's also been found playing salsa with Alma Latina, Chester's pop favourite Jamie Junger and local folk luminary Al Tuck as well as bluegrass/blues picker Darren Arsenault and rocker Tyler Messick and the Museum Pieces

Colin Dean, " bassist, bandleader, composer and arranger, has performed with such notables as Candido Camero, Bobby Sanabria, Rene Marie, Junior Mance and David Amram, at venues such as Avery Fischer Hall, Dizzys Club at Lincoln Center, Town Hall in New York City, among many others. A versatile and creative musician, he is able to perform at the highest level no matter what the situation. Colin was selected in October 2006, as a recipient of an SOS Grant by the New York Foundation for the Arts, administered on Long Island by the East End Arts Council. In May 2006, he received a BFA from the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music

Bassist Gregg August spans the classical, avant-garde, jazz and Latin jazz worlds making him one of the most versatile musicians on the scene today. He is member of the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra (Associate) as well as the American Composers Orchestra, Westchester Philharmonic and Orchestra of St. Luke’s. Gregg is also the former Principal Bass of La Orquestra Ciutat de Barcelona and the Brooklyn Philharmonic. As a jazz bassist Gregg is a member of the JD Allen Trio, having recorded 9 albums with the group, as well as Arturo O’farrill’s Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra, with whom he’s won 5 Grammy awards

Two-time Grammy Award winning acoustic and electric bassist, composer and arranger, Boris Kozlov has been on New York and international jazz scene for the past 20 years. Currently serving as a Bassist, Arranger and Musical Director for Mingus Big Band, Mingus Dynasty and The Orchestra, as well as leading his own projects, he has also been a first-call bassist for such important jazz acts as Michael Brecker, John Blake, Ray Barretto's New World Spirit, Lew Tabackin, David Kikoski, Alex Sipiagin, Jean-Michel Pilc and many others.

Boris Kozlov was born in Moscow ,USSR on December 5, 1967 . Having a chance to go to Children's Music School to study piano for 7 years, he fell in love with the bass and won Gnesin Music Academy competition to enter college at the age of 15 on electric bass guitar. While being influenced by rock and classical music, he took interest in jazz at 17 and went on to study acoustic bass with a notable bassist Anatoly Sobolev. Upon graduation in 1987 with Diploma of Honor at the age of 19, he served mandatory 2 years in the Soviet Army, where he had to play tuba and other brass instruments besides basses in the military band.

Kermit Driscoll

Kermit James Driscoll was born on March 4th of 1956 in Kearney Nebraska, beginning his musical life playing piano at age 5. Soon after he added saxophone and at age 13 picked up the electric bass. Almost immediately he was playing gigs around the midwest. When an offer to travel with a rock band came up he dropped out of high school at age 16 to go on tour. Later he resumed high school at Interlocken Arts Academy where he played in the Studio Orchestra. In Sept. 1974 he enrolled in the University of Miami and was fortunate to study with Jaco Pastorius. In the following year he went to the Berklee College of Music where he completed his degree graduating with honors. In May of 1978 Kermit went to Belgium to play with Stephan Houben who at the time was working with Bill Frisell

Miriam Sullivan

Born and raised in New York City, Miriam Sullivan was exposed to music by her parents. Their great taste and variety in music largely influenced her early on in life. At the age of twelve she had her first formal instruction in music, studying classical guitar with Jim Bartow at the Harlem School of the Arts. She became a regular face in just about all of the studios there, including dance, drama, visual art, percussion, piano and chorus. Shortly after, Miriam was accepted into the Fiorello Laguardia School of Music and Performing Arts, where she switched from guitar to play cello in the orchestra, ultimately switching to the bass

Vicente Archer

Vicente was born in Woodstock, NY, and here he embraced the rich cultural arts of this historical town by listening to local great jazz artists Dave Holland, Jimmy Cobb, Jack DeJohnette, among many others. He began his musical career on guitar at age sixteen primarily self-taught, learning from his parents Wes Montgomery and George Benson records. During those years he began making a name for himself playing in the Hudson Valley region with variety of ensembles from Albany to New York City. Upon graduation from high school, Vicente was accepted to The New England Conservatory (NEC) in Boston, MA, where he majored in Jazz Studies. Some of his instructors included guitarist Gene Bertoncini, saxophonist Jerry Bergonzi, and Latin/Jazz marvel pianist Danilo Perez. After his first year at NEC, Vicente transferred to Boston's Northeastern University where he switched from guitar to acoustic bass.Within one year of switching to the bass, the powerful alto saxophonist Donald Harrison, a long-time champion and discoverer of young talent, asked Vicente to join his group. Donald thought so highly of Vicente skills that he used him on his Impulse! release, Free to Be. While still in college, Vicente also began performing in the Eric Reed Trio. After earning a business degree in Management Information Systems and Business Management in June 2000, Vicente moved to New York City where he soon began performing and touring with the likes of Kenny Garrett, Terence Blanchard, Tom Harrell, Freddie Hubbard, Mark Whitfield, Roy Haynes, Geri Allen, Wycliffe Gordon, Craig Handy, Janis Siegel, Lewis Nash, Carl Allen, and The Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra w/ Wynton Marsalis, among many others.

Perez’s unique sound as a composer traces back to the combination of his grounding in modern jazz and straight ahead combined with insight on percussion and traditional afro-latin music gleaned from his two years in Lima as well as his experience with latin jazz heavyweights of New York City

Pedro Cravinho (born October 07, 1968) is a Portuguese composer and double bass player. His range of interests encompasses experimental, contemporary composition, jazz and improvisation, and he has worked with a wide variety of groups and ensembles in Portugal. He also taught at Porto Jazz School. Born in Barreiro, Cravinho came to the fore as an improvising bassist as a member of a trio with pianist Pedro Costa and drummer Paulo Coelho, named JioTrazz. He also became an occasional member of several ensembles in the 1990s. In the early 2000s, he moved to North of Portugal to the city of Braga, at this time he create is own project as a leader “Pedro Cravinho Trio”, with the guitarist Budda and drummer Maconha
