Heavily influenced by Jazz, Afro-Cuban Rumba, Hip-Hop and R&B, he has been touching audiences with his brand of Diaspora Jazz. Throughout his impressive career, Heshima has composed music for Nickelodeon, PBS, and various films throughout Latin America, and has released two C.D.’s, The Awakening(2017) and Round and Round (2011), which still remain in heavy rotation throughout Europe and Asia

Akos Forgacs

Born: June 15, 1992

Akos Forgacs is a New York City based electric bass player. Raised in Serbia and attended the local performing arts high as the very first electric bass player they accepted. Here he was awarded the many awards included an award at the national string chamber orchestra competition where he played the lead bass guitar. in 2012 Akos moved to the United States to attend the prestigious Berklee College of Music. At Berklee Akos had to opportunity to work closely with many incredible artist, most notably he worked with Dave Fiuczynksi. He worked with Dave for some time and he also had the opportunity to play with the legendary drummer Jojo Mayer together with Dave

Warren Jones

Warren Jones has spent more than 40 years as a bassist, composer, clinician and teacher. A graduate of the Arizona State University School of Music in 1986, he has taught in high schools, community colleges and in the ASU Jazz Dept. He appears with both local and national artists on over 60 CDs and DVDs. Mr. Jones has composed over 40 pieces of music for various sized ensembles. His compositions have been performed in the United States and Internationally. He can be heard on four of his own CDs, various recordings with Arizona based jazz greats, and over 50 recordings with the John Shea Trio, the new Robin Connell CD, and the new Kathy Lamar CD. Until recently, he currently resided in the Grand Rapids, MI area performing with The John Shea Trio and other west Michigan jazz musicians. He currently resides and performs in the Phoenix, AZ area. Chyco Siméon

Born: May 4, 1966

French jazz bassist, composer, arranger and producer Chyco Siméon has spent over twenty years carving out a singular space in contemporary jazz and fusion. His playing is defined by a deep groove, melodic writing and improvisational freedom that place him at the crossroads of jazz, fusion and Caribbean music — without ever being confined to a single category.

Self-taught, Siméon grew up between Montrouge, in the southern suburbs of Paris, and Martinique. His father, a passionate music lover, introduced him to jazz, salsa, classical and Caribbean music from an early age. It was in this rich sonic landscape that the young Chyco opened melodic spaces that have continued to nourish his music throughout his career.

At Kollega HQ we are inspired and motivated by fusing technology and contemporary sounds into our music alongside acoustic and electric instruments. The tunes are underpinned by big grooves and processed bass sitting beneath insistent tenor saxophone and lush analogue synths with loops and samples providing lots of sweet additional sonic interest. We believe that the studio and live outputs of the band should reflect each other while providing different and complementary experiences
