Akos Forgacs

Akos Forgacs is a New York City based electric bass player. Raised in Serbia and attended the local performing arts high as the very first electric bass player they accepted. Here he was awarded the many awards included an award at the national string chamber orchestra competition where he played the lead bass guitar. in 2012 Akos moved to the United States to attend the prestigious Berklee College of Music. At Berklee Akos had to opportunity to work closely with many incredible artist, most notably he worked with Dave Fiuczynksi. He worked with Dave for some time and he also had the opportunity to play with the legendary drummer Jojo Mayer together with Dave

Warren Jones

Warren Jones has spent more than 40 years as a bassist, composer, clinician and teacher. A graduate of the Arizona State University School of Music in 1986, he has taught in high schools, community colleges and in the ASU Jazz Dept. He appears with both local and national artists on over 60 CDs and DVDs. Mr. Jones has composed over 40 pieces of music for various sized ensembles. His compositions have been performed in the United States and Internationally. He can be heard on four of his own CDs, various recordings with Arizona based jazz greats, and over 50 recordings with the John Shea Trio, the new Robin Connell CD, and the new Kathy Lamar CD. Until recently, he currently resided in the Grand Rapids, MI area performing with The John Shea Trio and other west Michigan jazz musicians. He currently resides and performs in the Phoenix, AZ area. Brendan McGeehan

Chyco Siméon

Born: May 4, 1966

Of Caribbean origin, Chyco Simeon spent his childhood in Montrouge, in the southern suburbs of Paris. His music-loving father passed on to him, instilled in him his passion for music, jazz, salsa, classical and, of course, the music of his original land, the Caribbean. Listening to these varied sounds, little Chyco opens up multiple melodic spaces that will no doubt influence his career, his tastes and his creations. In 1982, this self-taught and talented musician moved to his mother's home in Martinique, a beneficial homecoming that would bring him sunshine in the body, swing in his rhythms, new inspirations and fruitful encounters. After testing the guitar, keyboards and drums, Chyco Simeon puts his alert fingers on the bass, which will then become his favorite instrument. While studying in high school, he became a bass player for a group called "Sunshine". The formation is as short as it is popular and is made up of Tony Chasseur, Pipo Gertrude, Eric Bonheur, Philippe Joseph, instrumentalists and performers, sure values ​​of today's musical landscape.

At Kollega HQ we are inspired and motivated by fusing technology and contemporary sounds into our music alongside acoustic and electric instruments. The tunes are underpinned by big grooves and processed bass sitting beneath insistent tenor saxophone and lush analogue synths with loops and samples providing lots of sweet additional sonic interest. We believe that the studio and live outputs of the band should reflect each other while providing different and complementary experiences

Justin Almquist

Born: November 5, 1977

Justin is a bassist, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and audio engineer from Seattle.

He started playing music at age 17, drawn to the electric bass and hard rock music. Within 6 months he was on stage playing his concert and recording an EP of original music with his first band.

In college, he expanded his musical focus by delving deep into jazz. He played with small combos and big bands, along with maintaining rock bands and dabbling in various genres. He has explored study on double bass, guitar, and piano.

After school he spent much of a decade working for professional audio manufacturer Mackie (also known for Ampeg and Crate) and refining his focus on engineering.
