Ronald Porcelli

Born: November 3, 1966

Ron was born in Long Island and has been playing electric bass since 1980, appearing throughout the years with a host of original and cover bands, most noteably heavy metal artists Lazarus in the late 80's . In the early days he would be influenced by English Punk, Metal, Progressive and New Wave of the late 70s and early 80s. Since then his tastes have changed and he worked at joining the ranks of other great bassists like Kim Stone (The Rippintons), Marcus Miller, and John Patitucci. He plays 4, 5 and 6 string bass depending on the application. With an ear for recording, Ron went on to produce other artists and created "Studio On a Strap"

Mike 'Bere

Born: October 17, 1974

I started out as a drummer in a local church back home. I would later venteure into other instruments(this has helped me understand more about music components). I have a 6-piece band. I play the lead with my bass.I play monthly at JAZZVILLE in lagos wher I do all the hassles of putting this together, I fund it...because I believe in what I am doing. It is not easy but am doing it.

I have also performed at different shows and events with my band which is just 3 years old.

Before putting up my band, I performed with a lot of musicians and artistes in Nigeria. I have also toured Ghana and South Africa

Mark Alan Fowler

Born: August 24, 1963

Originally from Albuquerque, NM, Now a Southern California resident. 4 time winner of outstanding soloist at West Mesa Jazz festival. Working on CDs with the Derrick Dixon Group, a second New Breed CD, and has just finished "Family Funk" with Kevin Willians, formerly of Butterflow/ Solsonics/ Bonedaddys. EDUCATION Jonathan has been University-educated in the fields of Classical music and Jazz/ Improvisation. His degrees include: • Bachelor of Music in Classical trombone performance - Queensland Conservatorium of Music (Brisbane, Australia, 1992) • Graduate Diploma in Contemporary Improvisation (with Distinction in Performance) - New England Conservatory (Boston, USA, 1995) • Master of Music in Contemporary Improvisation (with Academic Honors) - New England Conservatory (Boston, USA, 2006) Jonathan has also undergone vigorous training in North Indian classical music in Pune, India. Jonathan Dimond's teachers have included: Arthur Middleton, Phil Davis (trombone); Jerry Leake, Warren Senders, Shri Bharat Jangam (tabla); Bob Moses, Cecil McBee, John Lockwood, Oscar Stagnaro (bass); Ran Blake, Scott Sandvik, Dominique Eade (improvisation and Third Stream methodology); Abby Rabinovitz, Peter Row, Harriotte Hurie (Indian modal improvisation); Joe Maneri (microtones); Mary Mageau, Gerhard Brophy, Stephen Cronin, Dominique Eade and Pozzi Escot (composition). TEACHING EXPERIENCE Since 1989 Jonathan Dimond has been active as a private teacher, passing on his experience and skills in a wholistic and dedicated manner

Jeff has performed with the Johnny Blas Latin Jazz Band (Ubiquity/CuBop Records), Maynard Ferguson, the California Avante-Garde Ensemble, Liparis Nervosa (Allcity Recordings), Tainted Flan, the Cabana Boys, Running With Scissors, Ron Powell, Dr. Joe Jewell, Michael Grodsky, Wayne Peet, Wayne Bergeron, the Tom Kubis Big Band and many LA area jazz greats. Jeff has played at Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, Montreux Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival, Monterey Jazz Festival, Playboy Jazz Festival, and the Reno Jazz Festival. His studio experience includes work with Tony Kaye (YES), Paul Freeman (Disney Productions), and Brian Yaskulka

I am leader of Dallas based Fingerprints. We have 4 CDs and have charted on both Radio & Records and the Gavin Report. Most of our shows are in Texas however we do travel as far as Washington, DC and Atlanta. We have performed with artists such as Marion Meadows, Freddie Ravel, Kirk Whalum, and Miles Jaye.
