Noam Elron
Born:
Noam Elron is a bit of a strange bird on the music scene. Although a music lover from a young age, he began to actively make music seriously only in his mid-twenties. Thus he is a recent arrival, having little institutional training. In the few years since then, however, he has closed many gaps. Having studied the double-bass privately under Eli Kosov, Merav Reuel-Moyal and Gilad Abro, he has become an in-demand player, taking part in a variety of projects, both live and in the studio (playing Rock, R&B, traditional and contemporary Jazz, ECM, Nu-Jazz, Funk, Cabaret, and whatnot), and appearing on some of Israel's finest venues and festivals (Israel Festival, Tel-Aviv Jazz Festival, Caesarea Jazz Plus, to name a few)

Nenad Vasilic
Born:
Serbian Nenad Vasilic, who settled in Austria more than 15 years ago, is a bass player and composer. Of course, it goes without saying that his musical roots lie in the former Yugoslavia. His new CD is called "Just Fly". He is a restless composer and prize-winning musician, who lives out his visions in his band formations, both musically and on a personal level. Because the simplest form of communication in the world is music. It negates the need to ask about origins or skin colour. When you play a swing with a 7/8 beat, an inseparable sense of brotherhood develops. In his luggage, Vasilic has a copy of his new CD “Just Fly”, hot off the press. On the CD, the excursions through the traditions of the Balkans by means of jazz have a persuasive and fluid impact

Paul Baxter
Born:
Eyes Shut Tight is the latest project by Double Bassist/ Composer Paul Baxter. Eyes Shut Tight, as a band, relies heavily on the interplay of it's members and the "..strong melodic, compositions.." provided by the band leader, Paul. The inspiration behind this project was the great feeling when these musicians performed together. Whatever they were playing came alive and that is exactly what happen when Paul brought his Compositions to the outfit. Eyes Shut Tight's name describes the "..intuitive group dynamic.." and because a number of the tracks were born out of political and social ideology describes the blinkered mentality a lot of people have towards the world
