About the Album

Wounded Healers is the second single from Sean Gibbs' upcoming big band EP Set Me Free, featuring vocalist Frida Touray (known for her work with Lianne La Havas and Jordan Rakei).

It is a poignant ballad, exploring how lovers battling their own trauma can affect their relationship. The track features a full orchestral range of colours and textures, with a standout trumpet solo from Sean.

The EP follows Sean's big band album Confluence, which was nominated for Best Album at the Scottish Jazz Awards, and has exceeded 1.8 million streams on Amazon Music. As a member of the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra since 2016, Sean has performed with the likes of Kurt Elling, Kenny Washington and Jazzmeia Horn.
