Josh Allen
A native of Atlanta, Josh relocated to New York City in August after living and performing in Miami since 2007. Josh attended the University of Miami Frost School of Music where he performed for three years with the internationally recognized Frost Concert Jazz Band. He became one of the most in-demand bassists in South Florida, performing with such artists as Martin Bejerano, Randy Brecker, Ignacio Berroa, Gary Campbell, Ed Calle, Leon Foster Thomas, and many others. He also tours and records with Negroni’s Trio, appearing on their Latin Grammy-Nominated album On the Way. Most recently he appears on Ignacio Berroa's upcoming trio album "Straight Ahead from Havana".

Justin Meyer
Justin Meyer earned a Master's Degree from the Longy School of Music, where he studied with Charlie Binacos. He attended the Berklee School of Music and holds a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is on the faculty of Brookline Music School, Indian Hill Music, and The Concord Conservatory. He has played and/or recorded with the Indian Hill Symphony, Bucky Pizzarelli, The New Black Eagle Jazz Band, Ken Peplowski, Toni Lynn Washington, David Amram, Chris Trapper, Jerry Bergonzi, and the Four Freshmen, among many others.

Recognized for his ability to play in the Latin/Tropical Music genre, Ayala is a first call bassist for notable artists as Gilberto Santa Rosa,Victor Manuelle,Puerto Rican Power,Tito Nieves,Roberto Rohena,Andy Montañez,Jose Alberto "El canario",Lalo Rodriguez,Tony Vega,among others. Ayala has also recorded with Jose Lugo"Guasabara"(Grammy Award Nominee),Nestor Torres "Noveau Latino"(Grammy Award Nominee),Gilberto Santa Rosa"Irrepetible"(Grammy Award Winner),and Paoli Mejias "De Jazzambia a Mi Tambor-El Concierto." Mark Neuenschwander
Mark Neuenschwander has taught Jazz Bass at The University of South Florida since 1986, and is widely recognized as one of the finest and busiest bass players in Florida. Originally a French horn player, he adopted the bass for its versatility in performing all styles of music. He studied music at Memphis State University and is also on the faculty at Southeastern University and St. Petersburg College. Mark serves as an Executive Board member for AFM Local 427/721, and is the music contractor for the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, Dr. Phillips Center, Raymond F. Kravis Center and for numerous other venues and artists

Guillaume Viltard

Born in 1975 in the North of Ivory Coast, Viltard grew up in the wild countryside with almost no music. Back in France, he played with many artists of the French underground improv scene, including dancers and poets as well as musicians. After moving to London in late 2007, Viltard has worked with many of London’s best improvisers, forming strong associations with the circle of musicians centred on Eddie Prevost's experimental workshop, becoming a mainstay of the London Improvisers Orchestra, and playing in a great free jazz trio with Tony Marsh and Shabaka Hutchings that was sadly curtailed by Marsh's untimely death

Douglas Johnson

After a couple of hapless years playing the piano and violin, Douglas Johnson switched to the double bass and went on to earn a bachelors’ degree in music performance from Northwestern University, studying with Jeff Bradetich. During his college years, Doug was a fellow at the Tanglewood Music Institute and the Bach Aria Festival. Upon graduation, he became Associate Principal Bass with the Honolulu Symphony and, after one season, returned to Chicago where he continued performing and started composing and improvising. He has performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the symphonies of Milwaukee and Elgin, as well as the Lyric Opera of Chicagom, Ars Viva, and the Chicago Composer Orchestra, and is active in contemporary chamber music, having recently performed with the C.U.B.E

Gary Fitzgerald

Gary has been a bassist for a few decades. He learned to play electric bass first and then graduated to standup bass. He plays all types of music from Afro to Zydeco. His influences include the likes of Charles Mingus, Ray Brown, Ron Carter, Charlie Hayden, Jaco Pastorius, and many others. He has worked with E. W. Wainwright, Eddie Moore, Michael White, Eddie Henderson, Lou Rawls, Ray Brown, Jr. to name a few. Gary is always looking for new ways to express how the bass can be used to lift music to creative new levels and still hold down the groove.
