While the musical setting around him frequently varies, versatile bassist Brian Cruse provides a solid harmonic & rhythmic foundation through his contributions in a diverse range of ensembles. In addition to leading his own ensemble, Brian is currently an active member of Richmond, VA based bands The Larri Branch Agenda, Marionette, quux, Moruza, The J Smith Trio & Super 64. These groups cover a vast array of genres including Jazz, R&B, Rock, Singer-Songwriter & 20th Century. A member since 2005, Brian is currently the Principle Bassist of The Petersburg Symphony Orchestra. Under the direction of Ulysses Kirksey, Brian has had the opportunity to perform a variety of pieces, including compositions by Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Bruckner, Dvorak, Handel, Haydn, Ives, Mozart, Mussorgsky, Shostakovich, Sibelius, Smetana & Vivaldi. In 2008 Brian was a member of the Endless Mountain Music Festival Orchestra

Stephen Kerr is a Downbeat award winning composer and multi-instrumentalist based in Greenfield, Massachusetts.
Raised in Central Massachusetts among a cadre of talented musicians such as Glenn and Mark Zalesky, Cat Tremblay, Lucas Apostoleris, and Mike Caudill, Kerr forged his practice in jam sessions from the age of 13 onwards.
Attending Umass Amherst, Kerr became in demand for sessions all over Western MA as an upright bass player, including such highlights as accompanying Sweet Honey in the Rock, opening for Herbie Hancock, and performing as an orchestra member in Boston's Symphony Hall.

Bought his first album with extreme improvisation when he was 13. That was a Charlie Parker compilation. After one week of constantly listening to the multilayered flow of Charlie Parker he heard Peter Brötzmann play live. Frans Petter Eldh was obsessed with Jazz, Classical, Soul, Reggae, Swedish folk music, Middle-Eastern and Hip Hop at an early age and collected vinyl since the age of 7. He initially played guitar before switching to what became his primary instrument, the double bass

Josh Allen
A native of Atlanta, Josh relocated to New York City in August after living and performing in Miami since 2007. Josh attended the University of Miami Frost School of Music where he performed for three years with the internationally recognized Frost Concert Jazz Band. He became one of the most in-demand bassists in South Florida, performing with such artists as Martin Bejerano, Randy Brecker, Ignacio Berroa, Gary Campbell, Ed Calle, Leon Foster Thomas, and many others. He also tours and records with Negroni’s Trio, appearing on their Latin Grammy-Nominated album On the Way. Most recently he appears on Ignacio Berroa's upcoming trio album "Straight Ahead from Havana".

Justin Meyer
Justin Meyer earned a Master's Degree from the Longy School of Music, where he studied with Charlie Binacos. He attended the Berklee School of Music and holds a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is on the faculty of Brookline Music School, Indian Hill Music, and The Concord Conservatory. Mark Neuenschwander
Mark Neuenschwander has taught Jazz Bass at The University of South Florida since 1986, and is widely recognized as one of the finest and busiest bass players in Florida. Originally a French horn player, he adopted the bass for its versatility in performing all styles of music. He studied music at Memphis State University and is also on the faculty at Southeastern University and St. Petersburg College. Born in 1975 in the North of Ivory Coast, Viltard grew up in the wild countryside with almost no music. Back in France, he played with many artists of the French underground improv scene, including dancers and poets as well as musicians. After moving to London in late 2007, Viltard has worked with many of London’s best improvisers, forming strong associations with the circle of musicians centred on Eddie Prevost's experimental workshop, becoming a mainstay of the London Improvisers Orchestra, and playing in a great free jazz trio with Tony Marsh and Shabaka Hutchings that was sadly curtailed by Marsh's untimely death

• Born in Wiltshire and native of the Westcountry until September 1998. • Classically trained in piano, oboe and double bass. • Left school at 15 after being hospitalised with a serious illness. • Only played double bass for one year at school and on leaving, took up rock bass guitar instead. • Studied Film at Middlesex University from 1998 �" 2001. • Joined rock band Sodium65 in 1999 and cut her teeth on live performances at prestigious venues including the Hard Rock Café on Piccadilly, Sound Republic in Leicester Square, The Water Rats in Kings Cross and The Garage in Highbury
