Martin-Eero Kõressaar ('89) is a double bass player from Estonia. He started out as a trumpet player at 1997 and gradually moved over to tuba. Midst that he also began taking bassguitar lessons under Mihkel Mälgand. All that in Saue Musicschool. After a year in filmschool (2010), he took up double bass in Georg Ots Musicschool under Toivo Unt. Currently he studies in Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, in the jazz department, under Taavo Remmel and in Codarts, Rotterdam (NL), in the latin department, under various tutors. He has also taken lessons from Ara Yaralyan and a semester with Kristjan Randalu

Dave Michel started in professional audio in the dinosaur days of analog, working as a field technician in the transition time from analog to digital (during the heyday of the "Minneapolis sound"), and ended up liking digital so much that he is now a software developer. While he was at Minnesota Pubic Radio in the 1980's, he was the primary recording engineer for the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, recording performances by Pinchas Zuckerman, Yo-Yo Ma, Joshua Bell, Murray Perahia, Nigel Kennedy, Nadia Salerno-Sonnenberg, Kronos Quartet and others. He also assisted with recordings and live broadcasts of the Minnesota Orchestra. Dave is an active musician, and served on the Bethlehem Music Series board in the Vision/Program Concepts role for five years

UK-born, New Zealand raised, Cordez has lived and worked in London, Madrid, and New York City. A busy bassist, composer and educator now settled in the vibrant Bristol music scene. As a jazz performer, Cordez has performed and recorded with Tony Malaby, Jon Cowherd, Steve Cardenas, Kenny Wollesen, Allison Miller, Kirk Knuffke, Micheal Blake, Iain Ballamy, Jason Rebello, Tim Garland, Huw Warren, Martin France, Chris Biscoe, Andy Sheppard, Sam Crockatt, Gareth Lochrane, John Law amongst others. In 2013 Cordez started work on his project involving the talents of Jake McMurchie, Nick Malcolm, Jim Blomfield, and Mark Whitlam

Nathan Riki Thomson

Nathan Riki Thomson is a double bass player, composer and workshop leader. He can also often be heard playing various western and non-western flutes, as well as African kalimbas. Nathan has collaborated and performed with musicians from many parts of the world, with a special interest in Africa, where he lived and worked with traditional musicians for five years. During his time in Tanzania Nathan established the Amani Ensemble and was a student of master musician Dr. Hukwe Zawose. Nathan was born and raised in Australia where he completed undergraduate studies at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music and later at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London

Joe Solomon

  A native of Greenwich Village in Manhattan, string bassist and teacher, Joe Solomon, has freelanced in the New York area jazz and classical fields since the mid-1960's. He has performed  with Warne Marsh, Sal Mosca, Lee Konitz, James Moody, Tom Harrel, the Brooklyn Philharmonic, the Muza String Quartet among many others. "The Lovebird's Embrace" Joe's composition for string quartet, harpsichord, oboe and counter tenor was premiered in June 2000 at the Merkin Concert Hall by the Queen's Chamber Band. Along with drummer Roger Mancuso, he accompanied the late pianist Connie Crothers on "Perception", her debut album released on Steeple Chase records back when all three members of the trio were students of Lennie Tristano. Joe can also be heard on Bob Arthurs "Notes from the Underground" as well as two more recent albums released on YouTube: one a trio recording featuring his vocalist wife, Alexa Fila and the other "The Tristans Live at the Baha'i Center", recorded at the Center's Dizzy Gillespie Auditorium by the drummerless quartet that has gathered weekly at Joe's studio for the past 25+ years. He has appeared (however briefly) in a Cannes prize winning film and at jazz festivals both in the U S and abroad.
