Corrie van Binsbergen

Guitarist/Composer/Bandleader Corrie van Binsbergen (1957) finished her classical guitar studies in 1983. She has been active in a very wide musical range and played with numerous different bands and groups, in pop, jazz and improvised music, music for theatre and danceproductions, recording sessions, TV-shows and even the circus. In 1999, Corrie van Binsbergen received the VPRO/Boy Edgar Prize (the most prestigious award in Dutch jazz- and improvised music) for her creativity, craftsmanship and versatility. Christian Pabst

Born: October 19, 1984

German pianist and (film-) composer Christian Pabst is a true storyteller.

While being deeply rooted and connected to the greats of jazz, Christian has an original, strong and genre transcending voice as a pianist and composer. Finding inspiration not only in the arts but also in travelling and everyday life, his radiant music is  very visual and inspires your imagination. “I want to create music that speaks to the heart and the mind alike” says the pianist.

Growing up in a small German village close to the French border, Christian always listened as a kid to his brother playing their 1980’s home organ. He also wanted to play music and started to take piano lessons. Later, when he heard the local youth bigband for the first time, he felt instantly connected to jazz and improvisation. His thirst for knowledge and understanding of music led him to study jazz piano and film music at the renowned conservatories of Amsterdam, Paris and Copenhagen. Now, he’s playing concerts all over the world.

They all play an absolutely equal role in the music, which can go in any which way, depending on decisions made on the spot. Trio BraamDeJoodeVatcher shines in short powerful pieces, honoring the jazz tradition by pushing it ahead with consummate, dazzling skill. Trioism

Trioism is an acoustic jazz piano trio. It was formed on 1999 in Athens, Greece, by the drummer and music journalist Zak Samouil and pianist Spyros Manesis. After a couple of years with discussions and trials with various bass players, the group started playing in Athens in 2003 with the double bassist Petros Klampanis. During that period the band inspired and directed mainly by Zak Samouil, started having a musical approach, based on the simultaneous improvisation and the lyrical treatment of the melodic lines. After a winter full of concerts, Spyros Manesis and Petros Klampanis moved to Amsterdam, Holland, where they continued the same concept in a different cultural environment

Florian Hierdeis

Florian Hierdeis was born on 13.04.77 in Augsburg (Germany) and started playing the guitar at the age of 10. 1990 he started having private lessons with Buddy Brudzinski in classical guitar. At the age of 18, he got in contact with Django Reinhardts music via his guitar teacher and fell in love with Jazz. In 1998 he started at the "Berufsfachschule für Musik in Krumbach (Bavaria)" and he had lessons by Torsten de Winkel, Mini Schulz, Marcus Bodenseh and Stefan Barcsay a.o. After this course of study he went on doing the “Berkelee meets Europe“-workshop in the North-West of Germany. Mariette Bodier Moss

At the tender age of sixteen Mariette Bodier already performed with a rock and roll band in Deventer where she spent her childhood. In Amsterdam she studied voice, presentation and performance with the renown vocal coach BEP OGTEROB. She furthermore was enrolled in the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam for two years after which she left Holland to work as a singer in Inter-Continental and Hilton Hotels in a.o. Amsterdam, Paris, Istanbul, Kabul and Tehran. Susanne Alt

Susanne Alt is a saxophonist, composer, DJ, and producer based in Amsterdam. Born in 1978 in Würzburg, Germany, to a musical parental home, she studied classical saxophone at the Meistersinger-Konservatorium Nuremberg (1993-1996) and won the Siemens Prize for young talent (1996). At 18, Alt moved to the Netherlands for jazz saxophone studies at the Hilversum and later Amsterdam conservatories (1996-2000). She continued her studies at the Universität der Künste Berlin (2000-2003), graduating with honors. Since 1999, Alt has performed as a saxophonist in various settings
