Lessmann - Geri - Galardini - Ghetti: Swing Chopin
Fino ad ora nulla eccetto qualche improbabile reinterpretazione del grande autore polacco da parte del chitarrista zingaro. Nella sua discografia spiccano belle versioni del primo movimento del Concerto in Re min di Bach ma non ne ricordiamo su Chopin.
A stabilire un trait d'union ci pensa ora il clarinettista e sassofonista tedesco Klaus Lessmann, apprezzato docente a Siena, che ha elaborato questo progetto con due chitarristi (Maurizio Geri e Riccardo Galardini) e un contrabbassista (Paolo Ghetti).
Il quartetto a corde parte già col piede giusto evitando di ricreare scontate atmosfere manouche e reinterpreta alcuni valzer e mazurke di Chopin nello spirito di Django, con piacevole swing, buon gusto e freschezza. Nel repertorio troviamo anche tre belle interpretazioni di brani del chitarrista belga tra cui la celebre "Swing 42".
In definitiva un disco riuscito, in equilibrio tra delicatezza armonica, cantabilità melodica e disinvoltura ritmica che s'ascolta con piacere.
