Drummer and composer Rudy Royston has created new music for his band Flatbed Buggy for the In this Moment concert series at St. Peter's Church in NYC which will be streamed May 1st at 2pm EST. The music is loosely programmatic, representing a day in the life of the composer in the time of Covid.
In the episode of Liner Notes, Rudy sheds light on how the pandemic has affected him both as a person and as a musician, and offers his perspective on the remote recording and outdoor pop-up concerts that he has taken part in during the last year. This music contains new music written and recorded for a livestream and is not yet available commercially.

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
