Kendra Shank Quartet: Mosaic

Riscalda e commuove, porta l'ascoltare a seguirla nei suoi saliscendi vellutati ("For Duke," "The Shining Sea"), bianchi e marmorei.

Una voce che da sola cerca di dare consistenza all'inafferrabile grazia di Bill Evans ("Time Remembered"), ad esempio.

Che esprime talento senza cadere nell'esibizionismo, sperimentazione senza accademia. E in molti medley ("Reflections in Blue/Blue Skies," "Laughing at Life/Smile") la duplice anima convive. Sa essere romantica ("The Shining Sea") e sofisticata "Water from Your Spring/Beautiful Love), insomma.
