About the Album
"Somewhere to Go" by Brian Martin was recorded on his debut album as a bandleader "Old Home/New Home ", released in Summer 2025. The piece is dedicated to the memory of his mother, with its title drawn from a line delivered in her eulogy, "Grief is just love with nowhere to go." "Somewhere to Go" features many soloists, including a piano introduction by Joey Mazzarella, intervals by Owen Ross, Randy Pingrey, and Dr. Felipe Salles, and a conclusion led by drummer George Robinson. Organist Jay Frigoletto adds his personal touch to the track, truly bringing the composition's gospel influences even further into focus.
