About the Album

Some musical connections can’t be planned. Years ago, pianist Klaudius Kováč was saxophonist Martin Uherek’s teacher. Today, they meet as partners on Two Boddies — an album born from rare chemistry, recorded without arrangements, only listening and responding in the moment. “Pink Monk” opens with Klaudius snapping a groove and Martin answering with a raw, bluesy growl on his tenor saxophone. From there it bursts into a swinging, hardbop-driven dialogue — playful, fiery, and full of expressive twists, a nod to Thelonious Monk filtered through the duo’s unmistakable chemistry.
