1. Aretha Franklin, Amazing Grace (Atlantic, 1972)

Listening to Aretha coming home makes you feel like coming home. R.I.P.

2. Skuli Sverrisson, Oskar Gudjonsson, The Box Tree (Mengi, 2012).

This album was on repeat around the time of my daughter's birth a few months back. It says it all. A saxophone sound from another planet.

3. NONAME, Telefone (Vinyl Me, Please, 2017)

"Yesterday" was the soundtrack to my whole 2017. So melancholic, so happy!

4. Jeff Parker, The New Breed (International Anthem Recording Company, 2016)

Chill-Out Avantgarde, somehow...

5. Rodrigo Campos, Sambas do Absurdo (YB Music, 2017)

The album title sums it up.

6. Steve Lehman & Sélébéyone, Steve Lehman & Sélébéyone (Pi Recordings, 2016)

Crazy shit! I like the weird production of this album and Steve Lehman is really at home on this one.

7. Rafiq Bhatia, Strata EP (Rest Assured, 2012)

Rafiq's brand new album made me rediscover this older EP. I really dig Jeremy Viner and he's sounding great here.

8. Enemy, Enemy (Edition Records, 2018).

Fun, melodic and yet so complex. This trio is so together.

9. Strobes, Brokespeak (Blood & Biscuits, 2016)

Math-tronic Jazz from London.

10. Makaya McCraven, Where We Come From (CHICAGOxLONDON Mixtape) (International Anthem Recording Company, 2018)

I just heard this today, totally into Makaya's beat.
