Il leader, come riportato nelle note di copertina, prende spunto creativo dall'emozione provocata da alcune esperienze di vita, e dà forma a un percorso dove si riserva spesso ruoli di primo piano, in un contesto - stilisticamente mainstream - pervaso dalla bellezza e dalla cura delle melodie. Sentimenti tradotti dai suoi lunghi e fluenti soli, che si sviluppano sulle matrici ritmiche imbastite da Joe La Barbera alla batteria e John Patitucci al contrabbasso.
Ne scaturisce una scaletta, impreziosita anche dai ritagli solisti sia del vibrafono di Joe Locke (come nell'iniziale "Siberian Lake") sia degli interventi pianistici di Tarenzi, dalla grande attenzione timbrica, sviluppata in alcuni casi su tempi veloci, vedi "Woods" o "Vertical Voices," e che - senza riservare né cedimenti né sorprese - si rivela fino all'ultima traccia coerente con la propria estetica.
