Ed è aggiunta di non poco conto. Con il basso elettrico funge in qualche modo da perno, seppur anomalo e anarchico, alle cavalcate di fiati e percussioni ancorandole a momenti di stabilità. Quando imbraccia la chitarra allarga enormemente la gamma timbric del trio, introduce elementi ritmici dissonanti e negli slanci solistici rivela un approccio per certi versi memore di quello di un maestro dell'improvvisazione radicale come Derek Bailey.
