Selecting your mid-year / All-Star Break favorite albums

Major League Baseball's All-Star break marks the midpoint of its season. At All About Jazz, we celebrate our own "midseason" by compiling the staff's favorite album releases from the first half of the calendar year.

With "Best Albums of [Year]: All-Star Break Edition" (see archive), we'll gather the favorite albums of our contributors into a single article published under the AAJ Staff byline—a snapshot of the music that has resonated most with us so far this year.

Please limit your selections to three albums. I'll compile the article and All About Jazz will notify you when it is published.

How to send me your picks

Album Reviewer?

Using a laptop or desktop

• Sign in.
• Click the "Year End Picks" link on your member page.
• Click the gear icon beneath an album you want to recommend (see screenshot below).

Using a mobile device

Same drill as above, but go to the album page (example) and click the EMBED CODE button.

This will generate code that you can copy and paste into an email and send to me.

Radio & Podcast Host or Infrequent Album Reviewer?

If you'd like to recommend an album that you have not reviewed on All About Jazz, sign in and search for it using the "Albums" tab. Then follow the same process: click the gear icon beneath the album to generate the code, then copy and paste it into an email.
