The weekly Jazz First podcast series "They Call It Jazz" with 1-hour of brand new releases. This week, 11 tracks featuring jazz and jazz not jazz, that forever-debated so- called genre where the emphasis is not necessarily on improvisation but on the groove. Acid Jazz pioneer Galliano is our featured artist. They're back with a new album Halfway Somewhere after not being in a recording studio for three decades. 'Jazz' is the featured track, a remake from the version recorded on A Joyous Noise Unto The Creator released in 1992. On the page is the official music video for the first single "Circles Going Round The Sun." The album is released on Gilles Peterson's Brownswood record label.
