Lupia Jazz Orchestra: Fourty Brothers
Fourty Brothers, il secondo CD inciso dall’orchestra per festeggiare i sessanta anni di attività, va visto nell’ottica di una genuina testimonianza del lavoro e della passione di un gruppo di musicisti che vivono la loro esperienza con entusiasmo e professionalità. Nessuna pretesa, nessuna dichiarazione d’intenti, nessun progetto particolare se non quello di offrire un’ora abbondante di musica piacevole e ben suonata, supportati in questo da alcuni ospiti di prestigio come le cantanti Cheryl Porter e Kimberly Ann Covington e il sassofonista emergente Michele Polga.
Il risultato? Se rimaniamo nell’ottica “artigianale” (nell’accezione più positiva del termine) e divulgativa, possiamo parlare di un esito complessivo soddisfacente, di arrangiamenti ariosi e articolati, di un impatto sonoro di tutto rispetto, di qualche leggera caduta di tono, di un oliato interplay tra le sezioni, di diversi interventi solistici d’interesse.
