Federica Zammarchi: Fires 'n Pyres
Molto efficaci anche gli interventi in tre brani di Aldo Bassi alla tromba e flicorno. Indovinata la decisione di ricorrere a composizioni originali, con la presenza di soli due standard: "Infant Eyes" di Wayne Shorter, autore tutt'altro che malleabile e facile da affrontare e l'arcinoto "Nature Boy," affrontato con bel piglio, freschezza e personalità.
Anche se la dizione inglese è assai musicale e precisa, le cose migliori sembrano arrivare dai testi in italiano. Perché le parole sospese, le frasi dal significato aperto, la metrica irregolare, le immagini che si vengono a creare grazie all'interpretazione intensa e graziosamente naive di Zammarchi si sposano a meraviglia con la souplesse messa in campo dai suoi bravi compagni di viaggio.
