Una possibile soluzione ce la propone la Jelly Rolls Band, un gruppo di giovani musicisti italiani che già avevamo ascoltato nell'album Dancing Colours. Gil Evans e Frank Zappa sono abbastanza evidentemente i loro eroi di riferimento e questa musica tutta registrata dal vivo ne elabora vezzi e virtù in maniera interessante, con impasti timbrici molto ben strutturati, arrangiamenti dinamici e proiettati in avanti, assoli pertinenti e ben colorati.
