Nessuno dei nove brani qui presenti figurava nel precedente volume, anche se lo svolgersi ne ricalca temperature e disegno complessivo, il tutto atto a valorizzare in primis lo strapotere strumentale di Ahmad Jamal, sempre espansivo, onnivoro, rigoglioso, con un tocco e una capacità improvvisativa che non prestano il fianco a riserve di sorta, se non, magari, quella riguardante le dinamiche complessive, vale a dire la dialettica interna a questa monumentale espressione di onniscienza pianistica.
Non ci sono particolari sorprese, quindi, però tutto quanto ci viene offerto a piene mani da Jamal e soci (con l'onnipresente Jamil Sulieman Nasser che riesce anche a ritagliarsi spazi solistici neanche così episodici) è di assoluta eccellenza artigianale, musicalità a profusione e limpido godimento acustico.
