Fabio Zambelli Trio: Elé
Prende vita da una doppia seduta di registrazione datata 2007 questo Elè, lavoro a firma del trio capitanato dal chitarrista Fabio Zambelli, al cui fianco si muovono Pete Whittaker al piano elettrico e Laurence Lowe alla batteria.

Musica dinamica, colta e con riferimenti a quella prodotta dai grandi chitarristi (citiamo Pat Metheny giusto per intenderci) quella di Zambelli, chitarrista forte di una tecnica ineccepibile e compositore dalla caratura espressiva meno vistosa, ma comunque apprezzabile.

I temi autografi si lasciano ascoltare con piacere per via della loro cantabilità ("TW"), ma anche per il loro modo di proporsi in maniera sia brillante che chiaroscurale ("So Far So Good"). Brani mai puramente accademici ("Elè"), nei quali accadono spesso dei contrasti interessanti tra la sei corde e il pianismo, altrettanto ispirato, di Whittaker. Completano il repertorio tre rivisitazioni, tra le quali citiamo un'intrigante "Alone Together" di Howard Dietz e Arthur Schwartz.
