The Hafler Trio: Dislocation
Accompagnato da un packaging a libro/tasca che ripropone le mappe del progetto originale, Dislocation [accompagnato come spesso accade da misteriosi, esoterici e poco attendibili commenti pseudoscientifici] fa parte di una lunga serie di meritorie ristampe curate dalla Korm Plastics e in due lunghe suite esplora, a partire da registrazioni ambientali, le trasformazioni, a volte eteree, ben più spesso minacciose, di suoni e rumori.
Inutile forse cercare letture lineari di questo lavoro, così come poco proficuo potrebbe risultare il perdersi nei sibillini testi di accompagnamento: la cosa migliore è quindi quella di abbandonarsi alla "dislocazione", al viaggio onirico e inquietante che la musica di questo disco ci offre, come fossimo turisti con un pendolo intenzionali a distruggere il tempo. Ne vale decisamente la pena!
