02. E.Cleanhead Vinson & Etta James - Blues in the Night (Fantasy - 1990).
Cleanhead è stato uno dei miei primi riferimenti sassofonistici e qui con Etta suonano e cantano alla grande!!
03. The Daktaris - Soul Explosion (Desco - 1998).
Un CD di Afrobeat molto ben suonato nel quale c'è una bella versione di "Quite Man is a Death Man".
04. Bobo Rondelli - Per amor del cielo.
E' il nuovo CD (non ancora uscito) del mio concittadino livornese che scrive canzoni e canta come sanno fare coloro che hanno il dono della poesia.
05. Kenny Burrell - Midnight Blue (Blue Note - 1963).
Un grande CD della Blue Note che uso molto con i miei allievi.
06. Tony Scott - Africa (A World of Music - 1998).
Sono molto debitore a Tony per il percorso che faccio e questo CD me lo ricorda ogni volta.
07. Ahmet Sahin - Kuran-i-Kerim.
Questo è un CD di "canti coranici" che ho comprato a Mosca, dove la voce prega e si piega come mi piacerebbe fare con il sax.
08. Missisipi Fred McDowell - Heritage of the Blues (Hightone - 2003).
A questo non sono necessari commenti...
09. Cannonball Adderley Quintet - Mercy, Mercy, Mercy (Blue Note - 1966).
Sto cercando di imparare il suo solo sul primo pezzo "Fun"... è incredibile...
10. Silvia Bolognesi Living Quartet featuring Tiziana Ghiglioni - Vari (Reflexio - 2007).
E' un interessante CD di una mia amica senese, brava bassista e compositrice, che mi ha regalato qualche mese fa.....
