Per Texas Johansson: De langa rulltrapporna i flemingsberg
Sedici brani -dal minuto di "Interlude" ai sei minuti e mezzo di "Bevakad av tusen vakter" -suddivisi in un doppio LP o in un unico CD, finestra aperta sul variegato mondo musicale di Johansson. Svariate suggestioni sono servite con freschezza e ricchezza di idee, combinazioni timbriche affascinanti -alcuni incroci tra steel guitar e marimba ad esempio -sonno disseminate qua e là, tanti piccoli mondi sonori pullulano sornioni nella mente del leader. I suoi clarinetti palpitano in ballads incantate, sostengono groove contagiosi, soffiano in atmosfere rarefatte attraversate dalle suadenti traiettorie della chitarra, producono swing d'antan in stralunate melodie folkloriche. E il vibrafono di Stahl come perfetto contraltare, l'alter ego che ammorbidisce, puntella, suggerisce provoca rende viva la materia sonora.
