We start the 845th Episode of Neon Jazz with master musician, doctor and figure skater Eddie Henderson with music from his 2023 release Witness to History. Eddie is featured on this episode to celebrate the PBS documentary Uncommon Genius. From there, we hear music from his teacher Louis Armstrong then motor our way into another quality hour of jazz. You'll also hear James Zollar, Cecil McBee and Mike Holober. There's music from newcomers including Hiury Tire and Jill McCarron. Finally, we make a Kansas City connection with the long-awaited album from drummer Brandon Draper with his single "Aim All Around" from the Draper Family Band. Dig the jazz, my friends.
