Bas Trio: BRGS Time
La musica proposta in questo CD si muove per cellule, microstrutture tematiche, sviluppate in modo poco convenzionale. Contrariamente a quanto sarebbe ovvio attendersi, infatti, non sono sempre le ance di Succi a portare la melodia. A volte è la chitarra di Salamon, dal timbro nervoso, teso e ricco di pathos. Altre la batteria di Berger, suonata in modo tanto coloristico da assumere, appunto, quasi una connotazione melodica.
Se la parola non fosse logora ed abusata, diremmo che all'interno di questo gruppo c'è dell'autentico interplay. Che tradotto in italiano, significa che siamo di fronte ad un vero trio, nel quale i ruoli sono al tempo stesso ben definiti ma anche assolutamente intercambiabili in funzione della situazione musicale che si viene a creare nel corso dell'esecuzione. A conferma di ciò, sottolineiamo come quasi tutti i brani dell'album portino la firma congiunta di Salamon e Berger. Segno che la band è tale non solo sul palco ma anche a monte, in sede compositiva, e che le improvvisazioni di cui è costellata questa musica in realtà sono (e così dovrebbe sempre essere!) ben studiate e programmate.
