AA.VV: Azerbaijani Love Songs
Secome si diceval'elemento vocale occupa il centro delle operazioni (risultando a volte fin troppo prevaricante, del resto quasi fisiologicamente), è per contro il contorno strumentale a offrire spesso gli spunti più apprezzabili, timbricamente più speziati e articolati. Ciò accade non tanto quando si abbonda in effluvi d'archi ("Ay beri bakh," "Qaragile"), quanto piuttosto allorché sono gli strumenti tipici della tradizione a salire in cattedra. Episodi come "Saf eshqim," "Getme-getme," "Alagöz," "Ninne, yarim" (l'unico a due voci, maschile e femminile) e "Sary gelin" si segnalano in tal senso come i più riusciti, anche per l'equilibrio raggiunto tra le diverse componenti poste in campo.
