Recorded from a live performance at Amherst College Iva Ambush and group run through a short play list of five standards. Despite the implication of the album's title, Torch Songs, not all of them are, e.g. “The Frim Fram Sauce" and “My Favorite Things". With no liner notes, it's hard to tell what the singer had in mind with the album title. Nonetheless, Ambush does well with the little there is on the agenda.
