Big Joe Maher claims Louis Jordan as his main influence, but Maher's style is more reminiscent of my favorite blues singer of all time, Big Joe Turner. Like the original Big Joe, this Big Joe covers tunes that rock and swing simultaneously. Moreover, the Dynaflows are far more capable than most of the younger, more popular swing bands.
