Alif Tree: Alif Tree: French Cuisine

Binomio musica - cucina e l'ascolto è servito. Al suo terzo CD, il francese Alif Tree abbina il downbeat, l'estetica trip - hop nel calderone del nu jazz con equilibrio ed eleganza. E la prova del cuoco, fatta con ingredienti di primissima scelta, non poteva che portare ad un piatto prelibato e ricco di gustose portate.

Come ogni cucina che si rispetti, qui si impasta, si miscela, si versa e si soffrigge, si rubacchia segreti e si spezzetta l'idea originaria che, completa di trucchi e trucchetti elettronici, diventa quasi irriconoscibile.

"Deadly Species", un aperitivo niente male, ci rimanda la voce di Nina Simone come un aroma del tempo perduto. "Belle", "Forgotten Places", "Rain River", "I Feel Blue" tutte prelibatezze, primi piatti, contorni che affondano nella scintillante cucina anni sessanta (Anna Karina, Shirley Horn, Claude Nougaro), rivista nell'ottica da Buddha Bar e simil locali nei paraggi.

Di qua e di là spunta anche le specialità della casa Tree ("My Soul", "Les 4 Vents", "Mélismes Extatiques") con qualche rimando alla musica contemporanea, niente male.

Un disco, per così dire, da leccarsi le orecchie. Attenti però alla linea e al colesterolo.
