La Caravane Passe: Ahora in da futur - The Roadbook
Il progetto originale, del quale era parte l'attuale leader Toma Feterman, prevedeva l'esplorazione di musiche gitane, ma nel corso del tempo ad esse si sono affiancati ritmi spagnoli, canzone francese, hip hop, hard rock e chi più ne ha più ne metta. Il tutto condito con una energia strabordante, che spesso si trasforma in potentissimo suono elettronico, incontenibile dal vivo - come documentato dal secondo dei due CD di questo lavoro, ad esempio nella pazzesca "Gipsy Magicwoman".
Ma l'intero lavoro infila un tormentone dietro l'altro, da "Cybermarkovic" a "Zinzin Moretto" (entrambi omaggi ai musicisti che ne sono protagonisti), fino alle singolari versioni della tradizionale "Bulibasha". Il tutto cantato in diverse lingue europee (Serbo, Rumeno, Inglese, Francese, Spagnolo, Tedesco) e perfino in uno slang inventato che le unisce e sintetizza tutte.
A metà strada tra le fanfare tradizionali e la No Smoking Orchestra di Emir Kusturica, la Caravane Passe offre una musica divertente e dal potente coinvolgimento, anche se - dopo vent'anni di revival del genere - non particolarmente originale dal punto di vista delle invenzioni musicali.
