Lorena Favot - Gaetano Valli: Acustikè

Ben nota in ambito friulano (ha fatto parte dell'Orchestra Phophonix e collaborato tra gli altri con U.T. Gandhi e Massimo De Mattia), Lorena Favot è cantante duttile che si muove con sicurezza nel jazz come nel folk e nel pop. Ed è proprio l'approccio privo di steccati a caratterizzare questo lavoro, cofirmato dal chitarrista Gaetano Valli e che si avvale della collaborazione di una delle più interessanti giovani ritmiche del jazz italiano, Alessandro Turchet e Luca Colussi.

In programma sono infatti standard jazzistici e del pop, canzoni italiane e composizioni originali che prendono spunto dalla tradizione canora nostrana prossima e remota, dal latinoamerica, dal folk friulano e persino sardo.

La Favot interpreta efficacemente ogni genere, con voce nitida ed espressiva, e anche Valli sorprende per duttilità, risultando particolarmente a suo agio in alcuni passaggi sudamericani ("Borsa nuova"), mentre la ritmica favorisce la riconduzione all'ambito jazzistico anche dei contesti da esso più distanti.

Ne vien fuori un disco certo "leggero," ma ottimo livello e del quale si percepisce la sincerità espressiva - condizione sempre essenziale per la buona riuscita dei progetti musicali.
