Nelle sette tracce di questo album c'è imprevedibilità, fantasia esecutiva, tensione emotiva. All'interno di un fitto interplay scorre senza soluzione di continuità la migliore essenza del jazz, distillata in cinquanta minuti di musica appassionante: trame eleganti, comunicativa, swing, squisita musicalità.
Temi articolati, di grande respiro armonico, hanno stimolato al massimo grado la predisposizione di un super trio (Matt Brewer al contrabbasso e Eric Harland alla batteria) a sviluppare audaci improvvisazioni. Un viaggio suggestivo e fluttuante all'interno di un modern mainstream di gran classe tra tensione e distensione, architetture armoniose e la poetica del frammento. È una musica densa e meditata che si sviluppa su un tappeto ritmico mobile, che si nutre di parti frastagliate e tempi sovrapposti con allungamenti e accorciamenti ritmici improvvisi.
