After a few years on the road Larry looked for an opportunity to use more of his musical skills. Morris Gearring encountered Oscar Brown’s genius for the first time at a speaking engagement of Maya Angelou’s in Chicago in 1985. “I was blown away,” said Morris of the experience and meeting Oscar after the show as invited into Oscar’s Hyde Park home where his tutelage with the master began alongside Oscar’s daughter Maggie Brown. The next year, Morris traveled with Oscar, Jean Pace, Oscar’s son – Oscar Brown II – and Maggie to the Carlos One Supper Club in Manhattan. The show was misunderstood by the owner and closed soon after. Oscar, however, would have none of it and immediately embarked on his next project. Sadly, the great man passed away in 2005 and his legacy somewhat dimmed

Renee Legendre has had a love for the performing arts since her youth and began formal training at the age of 12. Within a few years, she was performing with many community theater groups throughout Massachusetts and began her ministry as a liturgical cantor. During her teenage years, the influence of her father’s music (Jim Porcella) led her to study and begin performing jazz vocals. Renee continued vocal technique and pedagogy, both in the classical and jazz genres, at Westfield State College before moving to NYC to further develop as a performer and continue her studies in private studios. A native of Philadelphia, Michal Beckham is one of the most exciting jazz vocal artists in the jazz arena today. A graduate of the Phila. Public School System, Michal is the product of Philadelphia's Germantown Settlement School of Music and a graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston,Mass. Michal toured France,Italy,Germany,Spain,Belgium and Switzerland with jazz legend Clark Terry's Big Band,also with the late Grover Washington jr. and also with "The Pieces of a Dream" Band. On one occasion, Michal toured Turkey, Paris and Belgium with group made up of Turkish musicians. Michal is a "Musician's" vocalist and consistently delivers a wide range of jazz, standards and blues repertoire.
