Julia Pinckney Jones

Born: April 23, 1971

Julia started singing classic jazz with her family at about age 12. After a lengthy detour through light opera, musical theatre, top 40, hard rock, disco, alt-country, R&B, reggae and neo-soul, she has taken all the best from her eclectic career and brought it back home. JPJQ feels like that joyful homecoming. Her voice is an unapologetic departure from the "smoky voiced" female crooners the jazz world has come to expect. She chooses to show off the power of her upper register, allowing her to create a strong, joyful sound that is influenced as much by Aretha as it is by Ella.

Mafalda Minnozzi

Born: September 21, 1967

Mafalda Minnozzi comes to the "eMPathia Jazz Duo" bringing with her a spectacular and rich solo career that in over 30 years has blossomed and evolved through an artistic adventure, both stylistic and geographic, finally leading her back to the sound that most moved her as a child in Italy via the powerful and expressive voices of Piaf, Ella Fitzgerald and Caterina Valente. Her travels began at vocal festival competitions much like they did for any aspiring vocal talent in Italy in the 1980`s where her promising voice won many contests. Her dedication and curiosity later called her to Rome where she studied Neapolitan song with maestro Gustavo Palumbo, modern dance with Marco Ierva at the IALS school and drama with noted director, author and actor Roberto Marafante at the Saverio Marconi school

Ryan Baker

Born: September 2, 1978

Based in Las Vegas, vocalist Ryan Baker has been singing in all types of venues and appearing in production shows all over North America for well over a decade. Originally from Long Island, NY, Ryan moved to Vegas in October 2003, where he began performing at weddings and corporate events at just about every major casino property in town, with performances ranging from Frank Sinatra “sound-alike” to impersonating the man himself. In 2005, Baker helped create and became one of the stars of the original tribute show “Shades of Sinatra”, which received the Entertainment Consumers’ Exchange “Tribute Show of the Year” award in 2007, 2012, & 2014

Born and raised in NYC, Ben Cassara began singing around the family piano and went on to perform in both church and high school choirs which culminated in a televised performance at Carnegie Hall at the age of 16. He tried his hand at theater and after college performed in a number of Off Off Broadway productions. however, music was his first love and it didn’t take him long to start working in piano bars all around the city and in the tri-state area. Alexis Jessica Morrast youngest of six, singer/song writer; a 15 year old phenom, native of Newark, N.J presently residing in Plainfield, New Jersey. She began singing in church at the age of three, leading her first solo in the adult choir by seven. Since that time Alexis has performed on several stages; the U.S. OPEN in 2013, 2015 Central Jersey Jazz Festival in New Brunswick featuring trumpet player Sean Jones, NJPAC with Christian McBride, the world renown APOLLO THEATRE emerging as Two Time Amateur Night Winner and later returning as their Special Guest. February 2017 back on the APOLLO stage she was named the Winner of SHOWTIME at the APOLLO nationally televised FOXTV hosted by Steve Harvey; most recently Alexis resounding tone was heard on Millennium Stage at The KENNEDY CENTER! Being so young she's had such great opportunities from sitting in to working with greats like Ray Chew, Amina Figorova, Alvester Garnett and the incredible Bertha Hope

Sari Kessler

SUE SHERIFF is a vocal jazz musician who performs in the greater Portland, Maine area. She has been entertaining audiences young and old since she was six. Some of her vocal influences include classics such as Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Anita O 'Day and Carmen McCrae. She loves to sing jazz standards from the 1930's - 1950's along with more current material. Her rich tones marry the elegance and swing of the classic tunes well, bringing them to life for her captive audiences. Inspired by her children, Sue previously released a nationally acclaimed CD of original children's songs in 1998
