Andre Pabarciute
I study piano playing, composition, and musical theory at the local college of arts. My style in jazz vocals started forming at 2001 when I has become a pupil of Vladimir Chekasin and got an acquaintance with the world vocal jazz scene. I never take any influence without the transformations of my own, and in this manner I derived my own singing style which synthetizes all the highest achievements in the history of vocalism, interpretation and improvisation. Now I am polishing this style and simultaneously waiting for the new vistas to open because I know that this is only one of the many evolutionary steps for me. In jazz singing now I pursue the perfect management of energy flow using advanced psychophysiological techniques, and the perfect management of a middle layer of music-making process (scathing, macro- and microphrasing, accentuation, dynamics, etc.)

Alex Pangman
Having found solace at a young age in Ella Fitzgerald and the vocal work of Louis Armstrong, JUNO nominated Alex Pangman also found a calling. Proud to be known as ‘Canada’s Sweetheart Of Swing’, her natural vocal abilities and obsessive, deep appreciation for that bygone era have earned her a place in our nation’s heart. She’s not old fashioned, though. Pangman is a vivacious performer who retains creative control of all her work: carefully choosing her repertoire, composing original material, assembling her backing band and co-producing much of her recent recorded output. Rather than some casual throwback, Pangman delivers a unique, deliberate reinterpretation of one of North America’s most fertile, timeless eras

Jennifer Derrick Adams
Born:
For the love of it is my first studio album. As a little girl I would tell anyone who would listen, “when I grow up i’m going to be a singer”. Here I am grown up, having been for quite sometime now and this debut is the realization of this life-long dream. Over the years I would step into the Seattle Jazz scene, scratch the itch, then step back out to manage my day gig, be a mother and deal with the crushing self doubt that can accompany standing on a stage and singing in front of strangers. I exchanged my passion for pragmatism. Singing in private, showing up at open mic nights, attending workshops and it occurred to me that it was time to put it on record, for the love of the music; the love for my son, may everything he does, and you do, be for the love of it.
