Unique name. Unforgettable voice. Saalik Ziyad, a native Chicagoan born in 1978, began singing at the age of seven. His unique style of song creates deep, melodic vocals that many who have witnessed his craft, soon not forget. His first introduction to music was when he was accepted as a member of the Chicago Children's Choir. This experience opened the door to opportunities to perform with many musical greats including Charlie Haden, Amina Claudine Myers, Willie Pickens, and renowned institutions such as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. While working on his Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Performance at Northern Illinois University (NIU), Saalik's talents continued to flourish and landed him the position of lead jazz vocalist with the Northern Illinois University Jazz Ensemble, including tours with Hammiet Blueitt, Steve Turre and Rufus Reid

Hi, I’m Greg Poppleton. When I was 3, I saw Louis Armstrong on TV and have been hooked on 1920s – 1930s jazz and swing ever since. Now the Greg Poppleton 1920s jazz band and 1930s swing band play clubs, restaurants, balls, hotels and festivals.

I appear in the movies Moulin Rouge! and Chronicles of Narnia Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

Marta Gomez started her musical studies at the age of six in her native Colombia when she entered the Liceo Benalcazar choir being its soloist for ten years. In 1993 Marta moved to the capital of her country to continue her musical studies at the Javeriana University and In the summer of 1999 she entered the Berklee College of Music where she received the "Best Achievement Scholarship" and the "Alex Ulanowsky" composition award before graduating magna cum laude under the Professional Music degree program. with more of 70 composed songs, She has also developed an extensive studio career recording for radio and TV for more than ten years in her native Colombia, and in the States. Ray Conniff

Conniff was born in Attleboro, Massachusetts, and learned to play the trombone from his father. He studied music arranging from a course book. Early career After serving in the U.S. Army in World War II (where he worked under Walter Schumann), he joined the Artie Shaw big band and wrote many arrangements for him. After his stint with Shaw, he was then hired by Mitch Miller, then head of A&R at Columbia Records, as their home arranger, working with several artists including Rosemary Clooney, Marty Robbins, Frankie Laine, Johnny Mathis, Guy Mitchell and Johnnie Ray. He wrote a top 10 arrangement for Don Cherry's "Band of Gold" in 1955, a single that sold more than a million copies

Martha Tilton

(DISCOGRAPHY BELOW) Martha Tilton (born November 14, 1915, in Corpus Christi, Texas) is an American popular singer best-known for her 1939 recording of "And the Angels Sing" with Benny Goodman. She also had major success from 1942-49 as one of the first artists to record for Capitol Records. Among her biggest hits as a solo artist were "I'll Walk Alone," a wartime ballad which peaked at #4 on the charts in 1944; "I Should Care" and "A Stranger in Town," both of which peaked at ..10 in 1945; and three in 1947: "How Are Things in Glocca Morra," from Finian's Rainbow, which reached ..8; "That's My Desire," which hit ..10; and "I Wonder, I Wonder, I Wonder," which peaked at ..9. After she left Capitol, Tilton recorded for various other labels, including Coral and Tops. Among her later albums was We Sing the Old Songs (1957, Tops), a mix of older songs and recent standards with Curt Massey, who later became well-known for singing the theme song to the CBS-TV series Petticoat Junction. Tilton also appeared in films. Her singing voice was also used in many films dubbed over other actresses including Barbara Stanwyck, Martha O'Driscoll, and Anne Gwynne.
