Jonathan Poretz

Some say he was born with a microphone in his hand. That would explain why Jonathan Poretz is so comfortable performing his brand of great American jazz standards to audiences large and small. Whether appearing in an intimate club or a large outdoor venue, Jonathan brings an electric energy to any stage he’s on, a talent he’s been cultivating since his early teens, when he sang professionally in bands that featured jazz greats including Charlie Shavers, Chuck Wayne and Joe Puma in his home town of New York City. Blending the swinging vocal stylings of Sinatra, Torme, Bennett and Darin, Jonathan is equally comfortable performing with a trio or a 17-piece big band, putting his own unique stamp on every song he sings and every story he tells through the great American standard songbook. Jonathan has been appearing as Frank Sinatra in the “Tribute to Frank, Sammy, Joey & Dean (The Rat Pack)” in San Francisco, Las Vegas, Boston and Memphis

Melinda Lightfoot

Melinda became a professional singer in 2000 and having led her own Quartet since 2002, she knows what she likes and her audience appreciation has been borne from entertaining at many prestigious venues and festivals, including The Ritz, The 100 Club, The Stables Theatre, Wavendon and many more UK Theatres. She has performed with some of the true greats of British Jazz, including John Dankworth, Roy Williams and of course her father Terry. Since 2005 she has also featured with Terry Lightfoot’s Jazzmen on the UK theatre and festival circuit in Terry’s popular concert series ‘The Special Magic of Louis Armstrong.’ In 2006 she collaborated with Terry and recorded her debut album ‘Hit Me With A Hot Note’, a selection of her favourite songs from the 40’s and 50’s and a few latter day greats.

The O-Tones

The O-Tones is a hot Swing, R&B, and Motown band from Western Massachusetts. With three singers as the core of the band, The O-Tones will melt your hearts with their powerful three-part harmonies. Whether they're singing their rendition of a 1940's swing tune, or belting out a more contemporary R&B number, Ann Percival, Zack Danziger, and Mary Witt make each song they sing a hit. In addition to blending their tones as harmony singers, they are each extremely compelling solo singers. From sentimental ballads to upbeat soul and blues, they will charm you and make you want to jump and jive on the dance floor. Ann, Mary, and Zack also form part of the driving rhythm section of The O-Tones, lending their talents on rhythm guitar, bass, and lead guitar respectively. Walt Chapman, king of Boogie Woogie piano style and organ riffs, rocks the group along. Along with Pieter Struyk on the drums, the pulse of this band is fiery for dancing or listening.

Arlee Leonard

THE VERSATILE ARLEE LEONARD began performing at age six in coffee houses in Detroit with her parents, blues/folk icons DAVID & ROSELYN. In 1991, her multi-racial family toured Germany, France, Holland and Switzerland, and she’s sung with them, led her own groups, and been a guest vocalist for a variety of occasions and events around the world since. Ms. Leonard, raised in California, Michigan and New Orleans, studied and performed in music, theater and dance at Santa Monica High School and the University of California Santa Cruz, while earning a B.A. in Sociology, with honors.

Sarah Lynch

Born: July 22, 1973

New York City-based vocalist Sarah Lynch brings much more to the microphone than just a great set of pipes. She and music have been friends since she started studying piano at age five. Her playing led to singing, which led to composing, and now, with a masters degree in piano performance from UCLA, this upcoming singer-songwriter knows her way around a piece of music. Her first album, Haunted Heart, released Fall 2006 on Runt One Records, includes five originals and seven not-so-standard standards from the '20s and '40s. Recorded in New York City in February 2006, the other musicians on the album include: Pete McCann, guitar; Mark Ferber, drums; Phil Palombi, bass; Tim Albright, trombone; Dave Smith, trumpet. Some of Sarah’s most salient influences include Jo Stafford, Dinah Washington, Anita O'Day, Sarah Vaughan, Peggy Lee, and Dianne Reeves.

Anne-Lise Larsen

Born: August 22

In February 2011, Anne-Lise was asked to join the dark edgy original lounge band, Machiniso. It’s a perfect fit, with Rich Machine on drums, Dave ‘Celestial’ Smith on vibraphone and Scott Leishman on bass. Machinso released their first EP featuring Anne-Lise on vocals, “In Lounge-O-Scope” [CD Baby] in December 2011. As a four track EP, Machiniso’s jazz based first-release has been followed up with a stripped back quartet playing live in the studio. The strong vocals from songwriter Anne-Lise Larsen complement the panoramic sounds emitting from Dave Smith’s vibraphone

Monday Off

Monday Off is an exciting addition to the world of vocal jazz. The quartet's members - Amy Cervini, Hilary Gardner, Richard Roland and Raymond Sage - take their combined years of singing experience in both musical theatre and jazz and apply them to exploring the vast and unlimited possibilities of vocal harmony. While inspired by vocal groups of the big-band era and of more recent years, Monday Off adds their own creative touch with rich and inventive vocal arrangements, applying them to a repertoire of standards, pop, jazz, Latin and vocalese tunes. Originally, the group was conceived as all four members were appearing in the Broadway musical Titanic, and chose the name Monday Off in a nod to the "dark" night of the theatre world
